Looks great. I was on 1.7 with VD. I wiped cache, wiped Dalvik cache, flashed TR 1.8 (the new one you just posted) and everything's working fine. I booted back in to recovery and flashed the stagefright buildprop and all streaming audio is working. Complete shutdown and then power back up works as expected. Great job!

Oh, and I'm typing this on my laptop wifi-tethered to my phone.

thunderom 1.7

Hey guys so thunderom 1.8 just came out and I was hoping to get thunderom 1.7
I can't find anywhere to download so can somebody please put a download link to thunderom 1.7 please?
I don't want 1.8 yet. Ill download it later but right now I really need 1.7

Nope not at all. The new zip just fixes flashing for those doing a full wipe/fresh install. You're good to go.

I had the android loop , redownloaded the fixed version and now it works.

I had already gone to that page. When I download 1.7 it downloads 1.6.2 instead

Why are you trying to get 1.7? Just curious.

If it's because you think it's necessary to upgrade to 1.8 it's not. The only requirement is to have a VC or VD baseband. There was an issue with the original 1.8 release where people had a problem doing a full wipe and flash so they were flashing over 1.7 but thats fixed and if you go to post #3 to download 1.8 (not bone's page) then you'll have a version which doesnt require 1.7.

Go to post #3 and download from the new link. If i had to guess you went to the page bone is hosting and downloaded the old file. I just confirmed that if you go to post 3, download from that link, it flashes without issue.

That did it. Now I'm ZVD and TR1.8

Perhaps an md5 sum of the zip file on the download page would help to make sure folks get the right version.

BIG Thanks to Beezy and KSmith! I didn't change to Xionia, I used the LG update tool, rebooted, wiped everything (phone had been acting weird on 1.7 from time to time) and flashed 1.8. I'm still setting things up but everything is running great so far.

Actually what I was trying to do was flash 1.7, update to ZVD, flash 1.7 and then flash 1.8 hoping my phone will be rooted and at the end I will have thunderom 1.8 flashed....
Can I just flash 1.8, update, flash it again and that will root it?

Do you have VC baseband? If yes then yes to your question.
