Obviously did something wrong...

Was on lego v1...did nandroid backup, then did vd update through lg update tool on computer...but now no way to get to my recovery to flash Thunderom...please help...
nevermind...did the volume down, home, power...cleared data, cache, delvik, flashed thunderom...and all is good...hooray! Thank you!

I assume you know how to use adb, open up command prompt or terminal, and enter the command,

adb reboot recovery

problem solved

or from inside terminal on the phone just reboot recovery

Have you tried pushing the volume down, home, and power buttons at the same time? You may have to keep pressing for several seconds and press as hard as you can and that should get you to your custom recovery.

yeah i think i probably should have started from step one, but i figured they were on a custom rom they already knew this, glad you posted this because i didn't know if i should go back and add it or not

im using handcent, anybodys text message a little sluggish on VD on TR1.8.2 ??? today i recieved a text about 20 minutes late, plus no sound..other than this everythings been A ok

I can't believe no one has commented on the Time w/o signal fix. It's genious! I don't have to remember to turn on Airplane mode every time I boot! Thanks for the great rom, it just keeps getting better and better!

Yep, that is the fix. Read the changelog on the first post.

So everytime I reboot I need to manually disable airplane? It is not automatically disabling airplane mode. It STAYS on airplane mode (I waited more than a few minutes).

Have not experienced any issues with that. I use the native messaging app though.

Nah for whatever reason it's not disabling airplane mode, unless I manually do it.

Ksmith - can you make a zip/flash to perhaps disable this feature?

Did some reading and haven't been able to find the answer. Is there a way to use the old (original LG Optimus S) ringtones with VZD and TR 1.8.2? If so, what would I need to do to get them back?

Yesterday I decided to do the update to VD from VC/TR 1.7 using the LG Updater program. I did my nanoid backup then used the updater and then flashed TR 1.8.2 everything went good as I can tell. I did not wipe any Dalvik, cach or data. So when the phone booted up it went to airplane mode for a few seconds and then normal. I checked all my apps contacts and data all seems to be fine! My question is will I have any problems since I did not wipe any data?

I didn't wipe data either and everything works great. As for airplane mode, it is supposed to turn it on and then back off to address an issue that is noted in the change log. Looks like you are good to go! Congrats!

If you have a custom recovery and placed TR at the root of your sd card, hold down the volume down, home, and power buttons at the same time until your custom recovery comes up. Then flash TR. Restart your phone and you will be rooted on TR. also, keep in mind that you must update to ZVD using the LG Updater tool as TR 1.8 and 1.8.2 are built based on ZVD. However, if you updated over the air it will not work because that method closes known rooting methods. You will then have to refer to the revert threads to get root. This was written under the presumption that you are already rooted and have a custom recovery.
