On TR 1.8.2, and my phone is lasting almost three days with light use (a decent amount of web-browsing, lots of email-checking, a bit of texting/document reading). Not running a custom kernel or anything, and I'm not playing any games on this thing. Maybe that explains the difference?

This is about where I'm at also. HEAVY use gets me a full day (18 hours) and i have about 30% when plugging in. Normal use gets me 2 days or so. Very light use gets me 3 days. No task killer, no super duper app smasher, no battery bullie, no special kernel. I go all natural :)

I am using Juice Defender, Beautiful widgets, LG calendar, simple calendar widget, battery indicator pro and autosync for accounts. Not sure which drains battery a lot.

The post says to update via LG update tool but my LG update says "The Cell phone is the latest version already. So you don't need to update." even though the baseband is V9. I think it is looking at the SW which is VC. I don't know how to get out of V9. ANy ideas? Thanks!

I am having the same type of problem. I have been running Lego ROM and my baseband version says: "LS670MV9_6040." My SW version says: "LS670ZVD."

When I try to update via the LG update tool it says: "The Cell phone is the latest version already. So you don't need to update."

Does anyone know what is going on here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I decided just to revert back to V9 and redo the root process. Really liking ThunderROM!

If this happens then you've changed the key config file. Reflash 1.8.2 and the key config file will revert to what comes with the ROM.

reflashed 1.8.2 and my home key does not work will wake the phone but will not work any time other then that tryed to flash the stock button layout still dont work about to try and wipe the whole thing and do it all over

PS i only started to get this issue after trying to install the Xionia OC kernel 013

See if doing a full wipe then flash, helps. As always make a nandroid backup first so if it doesn't work you can restore.

reporting back a full wipe seem to fix the issue so far that i can see didnt want to do a full wipe but i guess it was needed anyways giving there was a bunch of crap on it from past installs n uninstalls

Is it the ThundeROM that makes it so the phone will only wake up from sleep mode if you press the power button? Is there anyway to change it back to default where you can press any key to wake it up? thanks

When using the LG tool to move the baseband to VD...does the LG tool download that from LG real time?

I have 1.8 installed but phone constantly prompts to do hands free activation. the SW version appears correct but I dont recall updating it to VD prior to my install of 1.8.

I assume I can just update the phone via the LG tool to VD (goes over the internet real time) to get the VD update and then just use recovery to reflash to 1.8 after the update..is this correct?

Hello,

Basically what you're going to need to do is flash a version of ThundeROM thats older than 1.8. Assuming you're on the VC baseband the 1.7 series will work for you. If you're on the V9 baseband you'll need to use the 1.6.2 series or lower. Flash the appropriate version depending on your baseband. Plug phone into PC via USB cable. Launch LG updater and update to VD. Once it's done you will be on an unrooted stock VD OS with VD baseband but the trick here is you still have a custom recovery. Go into the custom recovery, flash 1.8.2, reboot, enjoy.

Thank you KSmith for this awesome ROM. I've learned much about the Android SDK and rooting in a few hours of looking at your work. Im hoping to donate soon.
