This is why I chose to bring my device into a Verizon Corporate store and had a rep look at the condition of my Note 8 and give me the full credit with a trade in receipt. I'm not taking any chances.

I just got notified that I was declined the trade in of my Pixel 3 worth $600 for the trade to an unlocked Note 10+ because "my device was not factory reset." That is nonsense. It absolutely was factory reset. I've contacted Samsung support, but am not expecting joy with this given past threads about this.

good luck it happen to me when I traded in for the s10 plus looking online you will see Samsung dose this almost all the time, Its the people that work in the werehouse I am sure they are up to something.

I've never had to manually remove any accounts from phone's I've traded or sold. Once I did the factory reset, it cleared it all. This thread just has me a little worried.
Is it possible that the OP just reset the settings only?

Same for me. I had my Note8 packed up and ready to go. I did a factory reset. Like I have done in the past. After reading this thread I unpacked my phone and tested by starting the setup process, sure enough the setup required my Google and Samsung PWs for my accounts. Both accounts were still on the phone. I had to set up the phones and manually remove both accounts. I reset the phone again to factory settings. This time it worked.
