Definitely July! [edit]

I was in a hooters one day in PA when this creeper started going off about the bartender being a cyborg and how there were 8 others like her. He swears that a german doctor created them. He was also very over protective of her. Unfortunately I couldn't stop laughing at his story and was worried he was gonna shank me when he left... im willing to bet that he was following the bionic too.

I would have lost it if I saw that. Luckily I don't go to hooters to often. It is funny what people will believe these days.

Only in king of Prussia. I've met and seen quite a few strange ones there already in my course of working out there.

You're of course referring to the webtop that doesn't run and uses no resources at all until you activate it by putting it in an enabled dock??

No he's talking about the one that even if you don't have it plugged in it still uses memory lmao

From XDA:
"The link below is a dump of the /dev/block/mmcblk0p13 partition.

It is the entire ubuntu "distribution". However, it is not an OS per say. It is just an environment compiled and setup to run on the "android linux". Everything just runs from a second X session started on top of the native Android Arm linux redirected to the HDMI display port.

The partition has about 800MB in size and is mounted under /osh once the system boots.

Something worth to note, is that the webtop X session does not consume any RAM or system resource at all till when the phone enters RM_SM_DOCKED mode. While the phone is on RM_SM_MOBILE mode, that X session is complete shutdown."

I was being sarcastic lol. obviously it wouldn't use any memory if it wasnt hooked up to the dock.

So basically it consumes 800mb of memory. Good thing its not ram. So all this webtop business was just a huge misunderstanding. (Benefit of doubt for ck lol)

The words you speak best be of the kind that are true, as I don't know if I'll survive the wait for another device. Suicide might be my only option, and with the laws of karma being the way they are, I will reincarnate as a worm for doing so. Such will be the price of this device's betrayal, so let us hope it has a conscience.

You need to post more often. f'ing brilliant.

Let's say that were to hold true, even then the phone would still have no cognitive thought and is only programmed to do what its told. Either your phone is r2d2 or the devs are mistreating you. Also, technology isn't scheduled to surpass human calculating power until 2045.

Foolish youngling, you have not examined your situation closely enough. Yes, a phone only does that which it is programmed to do, but it is the same with you. You are a machine of causation as much as the phone is. And do not kid yourself, youngling, with dreams of free will, because that's all they are, dreams; for if you are not a machine of causation, then all you may be is its negation, which is to say, that you are a machine of randomness, a thing of less evidence than the former option, and thus less justified. And then you make this grand claim that the phone has no thought. And on what grounds do you make this claim? The phone operates the same as you: It is causal, it has memory, it processes information. And on the grounds of these similarities we may conclude that it is the likely case that the phone does think, just as we conclude that it is the likely case that humans other than ourselves think.

And as to your "schedule" of the future, a laughable idea in itself, I suggest you watch the Terminator one more time. As you'll see, technology will be surpassing us long before then. And in terms of calculations, it already has, and by light years.

Poor youngling, so rebellious, so scared of his inevitable and obsolete future. The samurai were the same. But as you can see, the samurai are no more, having been riddled with bullets and sent with their arrogance to their graves (Watch "The Last Samurai"). It will be the same for you, youngling, lest you give up your arrogance and accept your future and fate, and buy a 1.2ghz or higher processor phone.

Well good thing i lock my phone up at night in a steel fire proof safe. Since it is only 1ghz and is going to tey and kill me. Also its youngin not youngling. Its OK though because zombies will take down all technology(watch resident evil) :p

You think a box will save you. That's funny.

And it's not "youngin", it's "youngling". There is a difference. One is from the lands where Scout Finch was killed, and the other is from Star Wars, a much grander world whose words are formed in such high sophistication as to be beyond our full understanding. But in so much as I can understand it, I use the word.

Also, you should watch Resident Evil again. It was a metaphor for technology's corruption and destruction of human kind; another prophesy awaiting its arrival into reality.

Ha OK if you say so. Who cares to be honest this is a phone forum not somewhere to come talk about how ****ty and miserable your life seems to be.

My life is ****ty and miserable for the reason that I don't have a good phone, my young padawan. A place such as this is thus the most logical place for me to come.

Your powers of deduction leave must to be desired, my young wrestler of ships. But at least you've come to terms with your situation. Perhaps now there will be more dignity in your destruction.

I don't have a copy of Resident Evil but I do have The Dark Knight. Anything I can learn from that? :p
