Delete Just One Date of Repeat Event in Calendar

AT&T Note 5.... Using the Pkg calendar I schedule a weekly event & use to get (when Clking Delete) the Option to Delete Only the "Single" event that I opened.
Now I'm only getting Delete Entire Series or Cancel.
Any idea how to revive "Delete just the selected Single event"? Many Thanks!

Sorry, what do you mean by the Pkg calendar? Is that the stock Samsung Calendar app, or the Google Calendar app?

Surely it's the Samsung Calendar as it looks vanilla and I'm guessing the Google version let's you know it's Google.

BTW, I've just started seeing after Delete has been Clk'd: "This and Future events". When I've Clk'd that one it Deletes the Future dates but NOT the date I've opened.
I just tried another date in the Repeat Weekly series and all I saw was "All events in series".
Not a life-threatening issue but this seems too wonky to have a standard fix for it.

I'm afraid I can't say much about the stock Samsung calendar app, but I can tell you that the Google Calendar app will let you delete only one event in a series.

EDIT: Turned out I liked a calendar called New Calendar by KF Software House and it doesn't have Delete Just One Date Event either. I've decided you can Edit the Series and make it start at a later chosen date that eliminates the date you wanted to Delete. Wouldn't be good for Deleting week 6 Only in a series but that would be a very rare need, I'm sure.
