Yesterday I was advised to delete all my Chrome cookies. I had about 90 open browser taps that now have disappeared.
Could I restore the browser taps any way, or are they lost forever?

Welcome to Android Central! I don't think so. In general, it's not a great idea to always have a lot of browser tabs open, because that's a memory drain, and will probably affect the phone's overall performance. It's a better idea to bookmark all of your favorite tabs, and open them when you need them.

I guess I'm more concerned by what told you to clear the cookies from your browser? That's an odd thing to pop up, even with a hundred tabs open.

Another question is why were you keeping so many open tabs? Were you, as B. Diddy assumed, trying to use open tabs as bookmarks so you wouldn't lose the page, or were you on a pop up journey, where one page leads to another and another until you ended up with all of these pages open? If the latter that could be why you got that weird message to delete your cookies. Did you also get any pop ups for antivirus, malware or other scare tactic ads?

As intelligent_zombie stated if you didn't clear your history you should be able to find those pages again but you would have to go back to the day you opened it or last refreshed it n your history. You might be able to search your history if you remember the page's URL name. Otherwise, if you had a tab that you opened on the 4th of July and never closed it isn't going to show up in your recent history, you'd have to go back to your history for the 4th of July. This would be another argument for using bookmarks and favorites.

Good luck and best wishes.

I had problems with an important app for my economy. I called the support center and I was advised to delete all the cookies on my Samsung S20. It did not solve the problem and after that, all my open tabs were gone/closed.

I use to have some tabs open to remind me to do something, take some action or to follow up on something interesting.
.

Thanks for your kind explication.

I know it has been a few days, sorry I'm not on everyday, but it sounds more like they were asking you to clear your caches. Clearing the cookies in your browser would have no impact on an app issue, where as clearing the cache for the app would have an affect. Cache, cookies, if not in writing it could be misunderstood if it's something unfamiliar. So, did you ever solve that app issue, since you say it didn't work? Maybe we can help with that, if you describe the issue and tell us what app...
