Developer Edition - Available April 19th

I canceled my Developer edition order earlier today and now I'm trying to confirm that indeed the Black 32GB model will be available in store tomorrow. I have to go to AT&T anyways for a SIM card coming from an iPhone 5.
You can find local stock (of silver) already showing up by putting your zip code in the lower left part of this page where it says :check in store availability.:

I just got through and upgraded my shipping. If you paid for overnight, you'll just pay the difference, so about $10 more for Saturday delivery.

Are they definitely shipping them out tomorrow? Wouldn't want you guys forking over more money for Sat deliver and they still don't ship.
 
I've been talking about the HORRIBLE attitude from these reps for days now, and HTC f***ed up by using them to distribute their unlocked models. This will unfortunately hurt HTC... and worst they are not stepping in to clear this up. luv the phone, getting the phone, want to support HTC to continue bringing up phones like this... but they have to step it up now that their hurting.
Just COMMUNICATE with us people... if its not going to ship until april 26th (example), then tell me so!!! I don't know is not good enough. I can understand you don't have it available for shipping, but tell me when!! at least i can't say anything bad since you informed the customer.
I don't know what to do... but since i'm staying with ATT, it might just be worth walking in store and buying a subsidized version.
As far as bootloader locked... when i had the original droid X people SWORE they would never be able to unlock the bootloader (the toughest phone i have EVER had to root and apply roms to initially)... but it was done in no time. So not worried about not getting this phone working the way i want it, bootloader or not.
 
just called to have my shipping upgraded to saturday overnight shipping, was told they would ship out tomorrow and should receive by saturday but it isn't guaranteed because it's at the leisure of the carrier. I'll take the chance and maybe if the item doesn't arrive on saturday I can get a refund. but who knows. It was only 10 bux more than the overnight shipping so..not that big of a deal if there is a chance to get it sooner.

Saturday delivery is a separate ball of wax. If you order overnight on Friday and don't specifically get Saturday delivery, you'll get it Monday.
 
Yeah I've tried three different people now.. no dice on the free upgrade to Saturday delivery.. and they won't let me just pay the difference from the free overnight. Now I'm waiting on a "manager" to call me back.. but I'm not holding my breath that that will actually happen. I know one thing.. I will never pre-order a phone from letstalk ever again. For being the largest activator of phones in the country they sure don't know their head from their *** holes.

Ugghh.. it never ends.. now I gotta call back in because I'm once again being charged for my "free" case. It was showing a credit for the case up until it just updated... now I'm being charged for it.

the rep then told me that everyone on the forums are lying and that there are no free saturday shipping upgrades being given out. so i asked to speak to a manager and she also told me there are no free saturday upgrades. i then i asked her to check my order status again, since it changed while we were on the phone. she told me that they did not receive any unlocked versions in the warehouse today so my phone definitely wouldn't be shipping today.

So i had her upgrade me to free saturday shipping for $29.99. Once i get my phone i'm gonna dispute the charge on my card and say "i never consented to the charge" If they're going to lie, then so can i.
 
Mine has not changed either and I ordered on the fifth. I wonder if it will but it doesn't seem like it will matter anyway.

Funny thing.. my order status actually just changed in the last 5 minutes to "Ready for fulfillment" and in the "picking and packing" stage.

Mine has said that for the last 3 days now. The expected ship date just keeps incrementing by one every day. I was excited on Tuesday when I saw it was in picking and packing, but by today, that excitement has worn off.
 
I do find it somewhat ironic that HTC chose Let's Talk for fulfillment, probably figuring they'd let the experts take care of delivery and customer support since HTC is a manufacturer not a retailer - only to see Let's Talk completely fumble the ball. Oh well, I still want the 64 GB developer edition and will probably still get the phone before I could find a 64 GB ATT version locally.

You know your conversations were recorded, right? Ago if they wanted to, they can use that as evidence of you consenting to the charge.
 
i wonder if its a coincidence that its down, or they are getting bombarded by calls about the One? i don't think THAT many of us pre ordered it?

According to a response they made to a comment on their Facebook page asking why the phones are down, they said the HTC One has made things unusually busy for their service team.

In honesty, I do think HTC dropped the ball somewhat in choosing LetsTalk to run their direct orders. According to LetsTalk's LinkedIn profile, they were founded only 9 years ago, and size-wise they're in the 51-200 employee range, which feels a little small to me to be coordinating nationwide fulfillment for a flagship phone.
