Many people are experiencing random rapid battery drain with lollipop. How about some clever developer producing an app which not only monitors battery.usage,nut monitors for rapid battery drain. An alarm could vibrate to prompt a restart and temp fix. J

The app would be the cause of the rapid battery drain - it's the kind of app that uses a lot of battery. (Most battery monitors just read a file that Linux keeps. If the phone had to poll the battery say every second, it would kill the battery very quickly. It would cause what you want to find out how to prevent, and the best cure for your 'rapid battery drain' would be to disable the app.)

Thanks. But suppose the file was polled say every 15 minutes? That would give sufficient warning of battery drain. Just a thought.
