Okay this may seem like a strange question but I am stumped. Our business uses Google contacts. Hundreds of our contacts are for volunteer organizations. We keep the telephone numbers for several individuals in the notes section of the contact entry. Separately those individuals have no real relevance in our large contact database but acessing their information is imperative.

My S7 will not recognize the telephone number in the notes therefore not dial it or even copy it.

I have tried many different contact apps with little success.

It's a patented feature by Apple. HTC and Samsung lost a case back in 2012 regarding the feature of phone number detection and had to remove it. So far the only way to do so on Android is to copy paste it into the phone app. You could just save the numbers anyway and arrange them to groups.

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond.

What a disappointment. I'll be honest, after 2 very long months I am missing my blackberry.

Why are they in the notes section? Why not put them as alternate numbers and label them as what they are. I have many businesses in my phone, many with 10+ numbers and they all are labeled and a primary.
