Did the One sell 5 Million Units or Not?

Duh! Of course it is. Do you seriously think anyone wants their purchase, be it a car, washing machine, motorcycle or cell phone to be the wrong one? Of course not. Who wants the purchase decision they made to be shown to be injudicious? Validation is an important part of the human psyche. What that has to do with to criminal gangs is beyond me. Care to elaborate?

Well, I'm glad you're not condescending. Yes, i *do* care to elaborate. Infighting on Android Central is ridiculous. I thought fighting between Android and iPhone fans was ridiculous, but the bickering and the my-phone-is-better-than-yours is completely laughable here. And yes, it *is* akin to two rival gangs fighting over turf. But if you want to continue to be condescending, go right ahead. I've been around a lot longer than you have, I'm willing to guess, and I've taken on tougher challenges in life than a silly forum member.

At ease hard charger. You have no idea how long I've been around. I've done and seen things you'll only read about in books. No need to be defensive. I stated facts about the human condition. You stand bewildered at what should be obvious to any astute observer of human nature. Humans want to succeed. We want to out do our neighbors (those that don't are destined to failure at worst, mediocrity at best). It astounds me that someone who claims to be, a tough challenge battler, can be so naive about what makes our phylum tick. Every battle in these forums is perfectly in line with our culture, upbringing and nature. To decry the conflicts is a waste of time.

I would have to disagree about it being a waste of time. We have a whole team here to do exactly that. With that being said, lets reign this thread back on topic.

Since we're delving into a short essay on psychology and human nature as it applies to a rather mundane forum argument now, would the bold statement in sentence #3 qualify as being the opposite of "quiet self-assured confidence"? :D

We aren't delving into psychology about mundane form and human nature. We are going to go back to discussing HTC one/Samsung s4 sales, or we are going to find another thread to take our fancy.

It's okay. I'm well into my 50s and have been in hundreds of countries on this planet. I'm good.

Can I derail it into an argument over which phone is better then at least? Come on I'm trying to meet halfway here...

I joke, I joke. :p

"I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe... Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannh?user Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain..."

Time... to die...

And this is the best post in this entire forum.

Pffft that's nothing. I solo'd the Lich King. Naked.

Who cares? Sales don't determine the quality of the device so why does it matter? It's not a contest, so why the debate, and petty insults which are inevitable around here.

Yes, I buy what I want, but I also look at the sales. If a device is unpopular, it may not get the fw/sw support as a big seller.
Also, the big sellers hold their value longer.

It's not a contest

Oh, but for many people, it absolutely is a contest between the S4 and the One.

Don't ask me why, but there are clearly many people who HAVE to believe that their phone is the bestest-est phone and damn anyone else who might prefer the other one.

"It is not enough that I win; everyone else must lose." :D

That's weird because in about 110 of the 160 configurations of the top 5 devices, neither are #1. *shrug*

:) Does this statistic mean it was a successful mission? Better than, for example, the thread called "S4, 10 million sold, HTC One ???" in SGS4 section? Or "not quite there yet"? ;)

It means, 73 posts and 2193 views, someones cares.
