Did you jumpship yet?

I want the back of my next phone to be made of the composite material my IR air impacts are made of, with titanium trim.

When I say premium feel, I mean the feel in hand. If you remember when the phone dropped, everyone was talking about how this phone feels in hand.. Also all the reviews.. It's odd I do have to say, because it's glass, but it does "FEEL" more premium, I'm not saying that it'll last longer in a drop or in durability tests, but it feels more premium.

I agree about the feel of the phone. The G6 just feels top quality, no if ands or buts about it. Is the V20 more durable? For sure would be my guess.

I guess the premium tag is subjective to what you consider to be well premium lol

For example... I have always thought iPhones felt a step above any Android phone. Just premium quality (I just don't like the os). For me the G6 has captured some of that. The S8 as well

Agreed....its an individual thing, but no matter what feels better makes little difference once you cover it up.

I am loving my factory unlocked V20 and coming from Note 5 which is a great phone the glass back makes it so slippery I put grip tape on it to go naked in the wild. I put some grip tape on the sides and back on the V20 makes it perfect.

Really like the removable battery and sd card slot the Note 5 did not have, just wish the V20 had wireless or someone would make a plastic back with the wireless in it like they did with the V10.

I use the wireless pad to charge the phone at night when at the house and it works fine but a pain to always plug it in and unplug it but I can live with it.

Overall my son has the V10 I got him and its a great phone and my V20 which is great!

so no reason to jump ship to a glass factory phone

There's an adapter to make your phone wireless, just stick it behind your phone or case:

Type C Wireless Charging Receiver, Nillkin Magic Tag USB C Qi Wireless Charger Receiver Chip[Long Version] for Google Pixel XL/LG V20/HTC 10/OnePlus 3 and other Big Size USB C Phones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M11UT3...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU5879021

Personally, I prefer swapping batteries, literally takes 15 seconds or less and I actually have 4 batteries precharged standing by. Just leave the used battery in the external charger and walk away. By the time you're back, it's charged.

LG Battery Charging kit BCK-5200 for LG V20 (Battery + Battery Charger + Battery Case) International Version, No Warranty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M5C23S...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU5879021

I have the LG charging kit and the wireless receiver

And a good portion do exactly that. I do for sure
I love wearing mine naked. I actually did for the first week of having the phone, and now I'm off and on. I miss the cold feel of the v20 but I don't miss the slickness of it.

I wish I could. I'm a foreman for a demolition company. A case is essential in my line of work. I spent the extra on Moto maker just to put a case on it. I don't regret it though lol

Odd.... It never really feels slippery to me....slicker obviously compared to when its cased but not that bad to me.

I actually like my case. Soft shell over hard shell. I am older and have dropsy so need case.
This phone is so cool I want it to last as long as possible

Not jumping ship until my V20 is paid off (June 2019). I will limp along with the 3 batteries that I own. I have not used my power bank cell phone charger in the 7 months that I've owned this phone. The fast charger is great for restoring power. I am also spoiled by going from 10% to 100% in 2 mins when I replace the battery while I charge the dead battery in 3 hours via the LG cradle. When I go to the beach, I keep my V20 away from sand and water by putting it into a Wapag bag because it is not sealed like the other phones people have. LG = Life is Good. So far it is for me !

If you pinch to zoom, you can see loss in quality. Went from a 12MP S7 (which had a great camera), to the V20 and noticed my outdoor sunset shots are more crisp in detail compared to the S7. For example, a bird flying in the air you can see better detail, for the 12MP camera it's pretty blurred out. But the trade-off is the dual pixel technology on the Samsung phones.

I wonder how much of that is increase in megapixels and how much of it is the better optics in the V20.

I had the Galaxy S6 and then the Galaxy S7. For some reason, I really enjoyed the S6 camera better. I really did not like the 12MP shooter although low light looks better and it focuses faster. But for the average person, they don't notice it because they just take pics and upload them on Facebook/Instagram. Not really happy that they are going to decrease the megapixels on the V30, if they are doing so, they better include dual pixel technology like HTC and Samsung.

I go from 10% - 100% in 15 seconds. I have 4 batteries fully charged and standing by. On average, I swap only 1-2 times a day. I never have to worry about saving battery, I can use it up all I want. I can use max brightness if I wanted to. I also have a waterproof bag that I bought on Amazon, I use it whenever I go to the beach or go hiking near waterfalls. People don't understand that although their phone is water resistant, chlorine water and salt water will damage their phone. Also, water resistant phones have terrible sounding speakers.

Absolutely not. The LG V20 is the best phone that I have ever owned, and I've been using smart devices since launch of iPhone Classic (and Blackberry and LG v-phones before that). There are three things that make the LG top-notch for me:

  • Swappable Battery
  • Expandable Storage
  • Premium audio and camera

I just don't get the industry trend towards waterproof design (which obviously is incompatible with swappable batteries!). I originally came to the LG V20 from the Note 7 fiasco (and had been a Note afficionado since Note 3 and 4), so I am obviously keeping an eye out for the Note 8 -- and its 6.3" infinity display screen looks gorgeous based upon the leaks. I am a bit of a size-king when it comes to displays, so... we'll have to see. But for what this phone is, it is beyond a doubt, the best device I have ever owned and still running like a champ.

I hear that the G6 has decent sound for a water resistant phone.
