Re: Anyone who pre-ordered gonna try for the free Galaxy S2 that is now being offered.?

The Galaxy s2 is a year old smartphone... It is pretty much junk by today's standards . Unless you meant the gear s2 Smartwatch?

Did everyone get their approval via email or just by checking the site?
Email came many hours after I had checked the site for both approval and shipping. Of course, after following flights in the T-Mobile thread, it was only natural for me to keep checking the redemption site

I think you meant to say a 5 year old phone...

I'm guessing they meant the gear s2 because thats one of the things that AT&T is offering. But you have to sign a,2 year contract on it and pay $10 access fee since it's a standalone device.

I ordered and was approved by the next morning. Yesterday afternoon the status was updated to in route but I have not received an email or tracking info. Anyone else?

Sorry for the confusion. The title says S2 but was meant to say S7

You have to add & activate a BRAND NEW LINE for 30 months to get that deal and if you cancel the line you have to pay the unpaid balance in full for the device. All it is is that you pay the month payment for the "free" device and then they credit it back each month for 30 months. Just like the "usual" BOGO deals except no trade-in is needed.

I got shipment notification for my SD card and will be here on Tuesday. I submitted my info on Thursday. This has been been the best (quickest) promo I have done.

Just picked up my new note 7 from sprint and received a s7 edge free... I had to have a new number with it, not an additional line.. I just gave it to an existing line on my account with the new phone number.

Yeah man, I'm in the same boat- I have a feeling there's a slight delay since it's the weekend but hopefully by tonight there'll be a tracking number for us

Oh and to anyone that actually read my diatribe last night about the restocking fee that motherfu*ker at the store WAS wrong. Chatted with two sales rep and made a phone call to a rep and they all told me that the store should have accepted my return without taking a restocking fee. They gave me a list of exceptions that apply to the fee and i fell under at least two criteria. Gonna take the transcript of the chat and shove it in the store clerks mouth (:

I did. The obviously overseas person said that they absolutely need something that says 8/3 instead of 8/2, but none of my T-Mobile emails, web pages or documents say 8/3 :/. I may have to modify the EIP PDF...

Hey Brian... In case you didn't see, Samsung has officially fixed this issue, and is supposed to be correcting orders that were denied because of the 8/2 date/website flub. Samsung to fix "ordered too early" issue for T-Mobile Note7 pre-order gifts

I guess I got lucky, because I submitted my info on the 18th, right after I got the N7, and I got approved the yesterday morning...even though I also ordered the N7 on the 2nd.

Good to know. I ended up resubmitting this morning. Still wasn't prompted for an address, though.

I decided to go with the Fit 2 since I've been wanting to get a fitness band. I've looked at a few, but couldn't pull the trigger. So I figured this is a good way to get one. The SD card was a close second, but I've got a 64GB card already that I could re-purposes for my Note 7. Now I am just playing the sit-and-wait game.

Re: Status of your Note 7 Promotion !!

I did mine at Best Buy which says it will come September 14....I dont mind the wait

I submitted mine and it already says approved, waiting to be shipped. However, I just noticed on the status page that the IMEI number they're showing is off! To be specific, let's say if my IMEI ends in 678, what they're showing is ************67 (missing the last number in my IMEI). My IMEI consists of 15 numbers. On the status page, counting the asterisks & the last two digits they're showing, theirs is 14 digits!

Should I not worry since it's already been approved, waiting to be shipped?

Mine was the same way thoght i screwed up but i guess it did ut automatically, i even called samsung they said its good and im approved anyway now.

The promo clearly states "ONE LINE MUST BE NEW" so if what you are saying is fact they had to have CLOSED an existing line not just "changed a number" and added a new line which works if you are willing to give up a phone number and pay activation fees and be stuck for 30 months because if you cancel that line early the monthly credits stop and you must pay for the entire phone.

Back when phones were subsidized I'd close and then add 2 or 3 "family" lines for $10/mo each line every 2 yrs and get an iPhone for $200 and sell it for $900. Those days are gone.
