I do a lot of music bluetoothing in my car (Pandora, Spotify...), and like to keep the display active to see the song information; and also Galaxy Voice is fun.
Guy at AT&T store showed me how to set up "Stay Awake" when power docked in the developer settings. However the S4 seems to have this power saving mode that I call "snoozing".
It seems that about 5-7 seconds before the Screen Timeout is set (i.e. 15 seconds, 30 seconds, etc) the screen goes into what appears to be a 40 to 60 percent dim mode (basically so dim I can't read the display). When in the Stay Awake, the screen still goes into this snooze dimming. If I touch the screen, it "awakes" to full brightness.
So, every time I want to see the display, I have to touch it, which 7 of 8 times means I end up activating something on the screen! Quite annoying.
Anyway, I've talked to many, searched many forums, and played with every setting that I can conceive of, and still no way to disable this SNOOZE!
Any solutions out there?
