Just bought the Galaxy A5 2017 a week ago. Whenever I use my phone for sound playback, it will get a sort of distorted hiccup once every 10-30 seconds. It happens both with headphones and with the phone's speaker. It's really annoying when listening to music or watching a video, does anyone know if this is normal and if not if it's fixable?

Welcome to Android Central! Is this with locally saved media, streaming media, or both?

Thanks for having me B. Diddy

Anyways, I've noticed it anytime when using the sound. This includes local music and video playback, Spotify, YouTube, Chrome and Netflix. I'm not sure, but I think it's more frequent when doing multiple things on my phone, not sure though, I'll test it and get back to you. As I've mentioned before, it occurs both with headphones and with the speakers.

I listen to music a lot and my biggest fear right now is that it might be a hardware problem, anyways, some insight would be much appreciated! :)

Sorry for the late reply!

So I've been testing my phone to look for any hiccup and the issue seems to have been resolved. I think I accidentally solved the problem! I've tested the phone in safe mode and it did indeed have no hiccups as far as I could tell. So I rebooted the phone into the regular mode, but had an unrelated issue concerning the icons not changing. Looked up a fix for that, which was deleting the cache and apparently that fixed the sound issue too! Thanks for the help!
