Re: Do I need to Root my Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900H to install lollipop rom
So, to recap...
Your phone is NOT in fact the international, octa core, non 4G/LTE, model G900H but is in fact the minority carrier variant for Sprint in the USA and is a CDMA model, G900P.
It has been rooted and a custom recovery installed, along with a custom ROM, based on the, "H", non 4G/LTE model.
If you flash the stock Sprint, G900P, firmware to it you will...
Unroot it and lose the custom, "H", custom ROM installed on it. Also, as it is a CDMA phone , it will not be compatible with your 4G/LTE networks and it is my guess that this is the reason that they tried to pass this off as the non 4G/LTE model.. You will also get the, not inconsiderable amount of, "bloatware", that comes with a Sprint phone and will be totally useless to a non Sprint user.
Below is a comparison of the Sprint CDMA phone with the, "H", octa core model for your country...

My suggestion, now that you have a working phone and you have finally, (I hope), got to the bottom of what you actually own, is to read up and study what you actually have and what the implications of changing the ROM/firmware are.
