does hotspot stay on the phone with temp rooting?

might exchange my razr for the rezound, as i prefer sense.
but need to be able to have wifi hotspot.

since there is only a temp root, do you have to do a temp root to get hotspot working every time you reboot the phone?

The app does but root will go away after a reboot. Impending news today on perm root so it shouldn't matter much longer.

who has working wifi hotspot, install everything right but cant get it to work, shows up on my laptop. but no internet access.

Mine works using OpenGarden Wifi Tether app.

You need to be temp-rooted to use the app.

Also for anyone who isn't on an unlimited plan be wary of using your phone as an internet source, you can easily approach and surpass your data limit on some careless usage of stumbleupon
