Does HP call you with issues about your Chromebook?

At first, it sounded like one of those telephone scams, but I do recall talking with an Indian fellow who helped me with sending my CB in for repairs about... 2 years ago.

His concern was from what he could tell from his end, my CB was not receiving updates. I won't be able to get to my CB for a while, but it ended with asking I call him back about this issue when I could get to the Chromebook.

No. There is no way I'd call that dude, HP is not going to be monitoring anything to make sure its receiving updates. Scam.

Thanks for the take! Windows scammers are out there en mass, I believe Mac users also go through the same thing. I have NEVER heard of something like this for Chromebooks. What were they going to do? Try to trick payments into "enabling updates"?
