Does Samsung Pay work if I'm in a store with no cell or wifi signal?

I have a Verizon Note 5, so no Samsung Pay for me. Not yet anyway.

However, I'm just wondering about how it works.

I was inside a Walmart today and there's no Verizon signal at all. (barely any even if standing outside in the parking lot) Walmart has no wifi inside the store. In such a situation, will Samsung Pay work?

I believe the app has a few "back up" tokens stored to handle that.

Yes, it works even on Airplane mode, I've tried that already.

Well, I didn't try it on an airplane but in a place where 0 cell signal so I had put my phone in Airplane mode when I got there, I realized after paying that I was still at airplane mode so it took me by surprise.

So taking that in consideration, yes, it should also work on airplanes as long as they use normal and compatible magnetic readers.
