Does the 1080p screen resolution affect your decision?

Given that the Huawei 6p is $500, and the Mate 8 is roughly $650, it is interesting that Huawei decided not to go with a QHD screen like on the 6p,given that the Mate 8 is more expensive than the 6p.

The reviews I have read of the Mate 8 also indicated that the display was just ok.
 
I wouldn't really have that much of an issue with it. Looking at the specs, it still has a 367 ppi screen density... that is, by no means, bad. Provided the screen's other characteristics are good, then the lower resolution shouldn't really affect one's experience all that much. Sure, it might not look so nice if you bust out your Google Cardboard all the time, but for most everything else...
 
I have to disagree, coming from the note 5,I'm very impressed with the mate 8 😂

It affected mine, in a positive way. qhd is useless on a phone, imo. The screen on my mate 8 is great, no complains here.
