Does the iris scanner work with glasses or not?

For me the iris scanner works through my glasses about 95% of the time. It struggles to read through my sunglasses though :-)

I don't use the mask screen and have it fire immediately on display activation so my only issues is alignment of the scanner. Gets easier and easier the more you use memory.

I set without glasses and use it with. Works perfect imo.

Works great for me with my glasses. I have progressive lenses - not sure if that would make a difference or not. (Honestly, I would think that would make it less effective, but it works just fine with them.)

No problems here. Works with my regular glasses and my sunglasses.

Works great with my glasses. Won't work with sunglasses. I hardly ever use the fingerprint since the iris scan is so fast and accurate.

Same here, works with or without glasses. I only have trouble in bright sunlight. I'll try shading my face the next time to see if that helps. I haven't tried sunglasses.

Works great with sunglasses (I was surprised that it worked), glasses, and contacts despite the iris scanner saying to take these off. I use the iris scanner all the time. I wear contacts and sunglasses when I'm out and glasses when I'm home and it works just fine.

Works perfectly for me except when there's glare. I can even be holding my phone over a foot and a half away and it works 90% of the time.

I just can't get mine to work reliably at all, take off my glasses and works fine.

It worked perfectly fine for me when wearing my sunglasses, contacts and in the complete darkness of my room at night before going to bed.

The iris scanner works with my prescription glasses, as well as my dark prescription polarized Oakleys.

pretty amazing in my opinion.

Mine works great through my sunglasses and my motorcycle helmet visor. It actually struggles a little with my regular prescription glasses though. But most times it still works.

it works with my glasses, progressive lens, photgray (or whatever it is called) that darken in the sun and when they darken there is a polarizing effect and the phone opens no problem. just need to line up my eyes and yes I am using one of the included "targets" to help me

I've seen a couple of YouTube videos of the defunct Note 7 that demonstrated the iris scanner working clearly with glasses. Despite the disclaimer from Samsung that it may not.

Anyone else that can verify? I assume with the S8 phones that the iris scanner would have been improved by now over the Note 7.

I have the Galaxy S8 and yes IRIS does work looking through my Dark Tinted Sunglasses.
I hope using this feature is not burning my eyes?
