Does the LG G4 have ANT+?

After praising this phone in another post, I just realised it doesn't seem to have Bluetooth AMT+ radio, which is needed to connect to my bike and heart rate sensors. Iphone has this, as does my old Note 4.

I found some info which involved installing ANT+ Enabler from the play store, but it requires root. Just wondering if's just a software thing then why is it disabled anyway?

I helped a friend defeat the disabled ANT+ on his LG G4 by using App Backup and Restore, copied the ANT Radio Service and Plugin .apks, then Wi-Fi Directed the files to his phone, thereby allowing him to use the service, much to his satisfaction. Dunno why LG disabled it, but the workaround was successful without rooting.

I don't have a way to test either of these apps (I don't have an ANT+ device) but neither of these apps seem to require root:

I'm honestly not sure of the difference between them, as they're from the same developer... read all the info carefully and I think you'll be able to solve your problem.

Neither of these do anything on my unlocked H815

When I try to add an ANT+ device (Wahoo RFLKT+) the Wahoo app says ANT+ is not supported.

Thankfully my cycle stuff also supports BLE

Tried doing a backup of using Helium backup but it said the app data was restricted. Used tap & go to restore files, obviously that didn't do the job. Not sure how to WiFi direct the files to another phone as you suggested.

Probably due to the innovation of BLE.

I have Wahoo devices too, the tickr and blue sc. Just realised they both have BLE, just didn't find the devices first time. I reinstalled Wahoo fitness and has registered both of them now.

Still don't see why it's disabled and seems a bit early to drop AMT+ and go with BLE only, but at least my problem is solved. Thanks for your help! :-)

I've only found one 3rd party app that is RFLKT compatible so far and its subscription 😕

I loved Cyclemeter on iOS

I'm hoping someone can give me a step by step guide how to do this....I have a forerunner 910xt but am frustrated that the LG G4 isn't Ant+ enable out of the box, especially if the hardware is there.
Please Help.....I don't want to wreck the phone trying to guess how to enable the ant+ or if at all cost have to root it....
My ultimate aim is to endeavour to get the live track feature on Garmin connect working...as from what i have read on the internet others have managed to do.
