I see a big difference in quality with Dolby Atmos even without headphones. Watched some Battlefield 1 videos on YouTube and toggled it on and off and when on it sounded fuller. Also set it to movie settings instead of auto. I figured Atmos would have just simulated top and bottom but it also brought in fuller sound in phone speakers.

Agree, it's almost like sound from a great quality speaker straight from the phone. Massive difference to the note 8 sound

I am encouraged by the positive comments on the new speakers..... long overdue for Sammie's flagship

Holding on for a black note 9 later this year before upgrading from my ever so sleek black note 8 and black tab s 4

Yep. It's a big improvement. I'm so impressed with this phone. The screen, the sound, the whole package.

I agree. I've been asking for stereo speakers for a while. Thank you Sammy!

Why wouldn't it be on by default? Does it make a big battery hit when enabled?

I couldn't tell ya I just know I had to go into settings and turn it on, and it's pretty immersive for a phone listening experience.

Dolby Atmos is the best thing about the media experience on this phone. That, coupled with the great display, makes this phone totally worth it.
