Double notifications for very specific apps

I am getting double notifications for these 3 apps (AFAICT):

MLB
Microsoft To Do
Ring

Even the notifications history shows double notifications for these apps.

I have followed online guides to fix this issue (mainly tinkering with notification settings) but none did the trick.

The symptom is literally notifications coming twice, not more.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

This issue is very old. Almost as old as the S22U. So I've restarted the phone, upgraded the firmware, etc, numerous times, but this problem has remained.

But to answer your question, I did not specifically force stop the apps. (But I can try that next.)

Didn't work

I do have one additional detail: this only seems to happen while the phone is locked, such as when it's in my pocket. But it only repeats once, within a minute of the first notification. I know this because I have a customized tone for MLB alerts.

I don't use AODNotify (never have.)

I've attached a screenshot from Notistar. Notice that (pun not intended) the score for 9-5 as well as the related play detail were both repeated.

odd...today I had a To-Do reminder hit and I got double notifications: one from the app and one from the Calendar. haven't yet figured out how to stop that ridiculousness.

Just thought I'd let anyone experiencing this behavior know that it is no longer occurring after a factory reset

My Outlook app tells me I have 77 emails when I only have 3.

Sorry just seeing this message, glad it working unfortunately factory reset fixed it
