We downloaded a Blood Pressure app from Plays Sore and since then the screens keep changing with adds for games and more.

I close all screens and try to get a virus app down but the screens keep popping over what i do.

I have disabled that Blood app but it still happen so maybe it wasn't that app, but something attached to it.

What to do without a full reset.

Thanks

Was this BP app suggested by your physician or someone in the medical field? I just find it difficult to believe a reputable app would send you so many ads the way you've described. I would also find it difficult to imagine a medical app sending game ads.

Anyway, you can forgo the virus app, as you're not likely to have a "virus", it is more likely that a questionable app has too many permissions. If these ads pop up whenever, like if you're in any app, on you home screen when you're doing nothing or if you open your browser and get an ad, these are examples of "toast" ads. Toast ads are pushed by other apps on your device and usually try to hide their source so they can keep serving you ads and make you helpless to stop them. Fear not however, there are several apps on the Play Store to detect and identify the source of these ads. It sounds like you may be having difficulty navigating the PS so I've included a link to one of the most popular toast identifying apps, Toast Source.

Let us know what you find and if this helps.

Are you able to access the Play Store and browse, or no?

If you can access the Play Store on this device, search the term "toast" or "toast ads" and pick one of the many apps that show up to detect the source of your toast ads.

If you are not able to access or surf the Play Store long enough uninterrupted you can search and install from a laptop or PC. To do this, open Chrome>go to google.com and sign-in>search for the Play Store and open that link>the PS site will recognize you from your Google sign-in. All of your searches done at the PS will be associated with your known devices and the PS should only show you apps that are compatible with your devices. If you have several devices on your account you may have to pick and choose the one compatible with this phone. Again search the term "toast" or "toast ads", pick an app that has a rating and terms of service you agree with, and then choose to install it on your device. Unlock your device and it should begin downloading and installing in the background. Give it a minute or two for this process to finish and then you should be able to run the app.

Finding the app that is serving you these ads is the solution, the fix if you will, to this problem. Even if you factory reset your phone and then installed all of the same apps you have again, you would end up in this same spot. The solution is to find the bad app.

Let us know what you find.
