Did you re-enable dqa prior to getting the patch?I just had a mini freak out. I set my phone down for a bit, then thought, oh let me check this. I picked it up, AOD was on, pressed home... nothing. I could feel the haptic response, but nothing happened. Went through the series of pushing the power button, even double pressing the power button to get to the camera, nothing. Plugged it in - to see if anything changed on the screen, nothing. Called myself from the office, right to voicemail. Pressed the volume down and power buttons and got to a pretty serious looking reboot screen. I selected restart like normal. Once it was back on and responsive (insert sigh of relief here), I saw a notification icon and pulled it down. It was a notification for the DQA update - right at the time that all of this was going on... 8:36am (sorry, no screenshot). I installed that update, and so far everything is ok. I'm on Verizon, this is the S8Plus, and I've had it since April 21st.

Update on S8+ today.
Think it has to do with the DQA error everybody has been talking about.
I got a update a few minutes ago that I seen.
I updated it.
Fast update.
Anybody else pull their screen down and check for it ?

I just got an update on my mobile s8+ phone. I used Google assist to check the weather because it liked like it was going to rain. Then I accepted the update. Well after the update, long pressing the home button brings up Google assistant, but it doesn't listen or do anything after it comes up. Anyone else have this problem?

Think it was for the DQA error people has been having.
If I hadn't of pulled my screen down I would of never of know it was there.
I hit update.
and in the blink of a eye. it had updated and gone. Leaving no signs of anything.
I haven't had any errors at all on my phone. It's been good so far, just after update Google assistant doesn't work now. Do you have a link to your post?
Don't know if you heard, but they say Bixby is totally limited right now.

Its suppose to be Oct before it goes full blast.

Is this towards me? I am aware Bixby isn't working, but I'm not trying to use Bixby. Just Google assistant. It was working for me since I got the phone, just after the update it's not. I'm not in a rush for Bixby anyways lol

Think Google assistant was trying to work on my phone when I said O.K. Google. and I don't remember what I did to get rid of it. Or how much Google assistant even worked.

I know, that's how I checked the weather this morning before the update. Then after I checked the weather via Google assistant I clicked on the "update now button, then after the update, I long pressed the home button and it comes up, but doesn't listen or have any animation on the 4 bars that it's listening. So something after the update changed something on it.
