Droid apps on wifi in Europe?

I'll be traveling the Mediterranean region next week. I know I can't do any CDMA with my Droid, but will 3G apps work with wifi if its on and 3G off? For example: FlightStats, Picasa Tool, Kindle, Pandora? Or, am I limited to only the browser? Thanx.

What exactly are 3G apps? An app that uses data should be fine using WiFi if available and 3G is not available.

You can always test yourself by enabling airplane mode and then enabling WiFi.
