I have been keeping up with the conversation and last I read it would be weeks until the latest build *may* get approved.

Thanks for catching me up but I have been reading all along so I am aware it will be several more weeks. I respectfully differ with you about this post however. The title is "JB update" and in the interim if everyone wants a filler then it is you who should start a new topic. Not have misc conversations in this topic.

No one has asked you not to post about the Bionic JB release, but of course that is your option if you so please. All I was saying is that there is a TON on non Bionic JB related posts which do not belong in this topic.

What I hope happens in a Verizon exec office in the near future:
Moto Exec: Here's our latest build for the Bionic. It's better than the RAZR and the D4 builds, we've tested the crap out of it, and really there is nothing more we can do.
Verizon Exec: We are so indebted to you for all the work you've done. You are right, we should have given this hardware more love. Please release it as fast as possible. And as a token of our appreciation, we'll unlock all Moto phones from here on out.
What the worst case scenario might be:
Moto Exec: Here's our latest build for the Bionic. It's better than the RAZR and the D4 builds, we've tested the crap out of it, and really there is nothing more we can do.
Verizon Exec: What's a Bionic? You silly, silly boy. Now get out before I sick the sharks with lasers on you.
What probably will happen:

Verizon Exec: Shh, shh, it'll all be okay, now spread 'em.
*Meanwhile at Motorola*

Android Community is reporting that 4.1 was approved, but their source blog mentions nothing about it being approved. Some great blog journalism there.

I like seeing people post for the first time (according to what the count says). It makes me like this site even more.
Interesting post. Is the upgrade page mentioned the public page? I just checked that and it doesn't look any different (still committed to getting JB on the Bionic, but no dates). Or is the source that got leaked? I'd like to see more before I start jumping up and down for joy....
The more I look at the Android Community post and the Gottabemobile post, the more I think that they're just rehashing stuff we already know. Basically: Moto is committed to upgrading the Bionic; every other phone or device they were committed to upgrading is done or just about done; therefore we must be next and soon.

I think they got their wires crossed and mixed up the D4 and the Bionic. The post is very confusingly written anyways...
Long time lurker.
This is what happened and what I was trying to point out in my original post. Basically they read the gottabemobile post and read that the D4 was getting Jelly Bean, and then thought it said Bionic and reported the Bionic JB was approved when it hasn't.
I have Google Email alerts so I was super stoked, and then read their source and their source said nothing on the matter.
I'm guessing my sarcasm on my original post didn't come through correctly.
Glad to see Verizon can approve something quickly.
