DROID BIONIC Jelly Bean Update

Sam, our version of JB is 4.1.2, right? If that's correct, then why is the RAZR HD just now getting 4.1.2? Or am I missing something here?

I see, so starting from scratch every time is standard procedure. Oh well. Also, a month ago I was going to ask if we'd get to 1000 posts by the time we got JB, but I was sure it would have never happened. I guess I was wrong.

It's not "starting from scratch". It's a new build. The two are *VERY* different.

It's an update to their 4.1.2 build. It's just a small patch to fix some issues. They've had 4.1.2 since end of November/early December.

That's what I thought. They were just reporting "This latest OTA will bump both versions of the RAZR HD to Android 4.1.2."

I feel like Motorola went to Best Buy one day and was so impressed by the geek squad.. they hired them to run the software side of things

Fortunately I was able to interpret these feelings correctly: loss of essence.

LOL! :D

You might be onto something there.

Nice. They updated it with a timeframe.

(Now there's a three-month window) lol

Haha true story!

On another note, since my Bionic is EOL and with an expired warranty, I have opted to order a new 4,000mah Hyperion extended battery for it. My OEM extended BW8X is showing it's age. Am I extremely foolish in opting for a non-OEM battery, or will I actually reap some benefit from this?

Seems significant to me that they assigned it a timeframe. If they were doubtful that they could push out a working build, they could have just left it as "Will be upgraded to JB". OTOH, we all remember how well they hit the 3Q 2012 release target for ICS! ;)

Oh, okay. That makes since. Don't know how I could miss that one. Thank you guys!! :)
