DROID BIONIC Jelly Bean Update

Absolutely...when I went to buy my Bionic, the salesperson tried like crazy to talk me out it (despite all the info I gave her from my research on specs and comparison reviews)..the Bionic was my choice and I stuck with it...she wasn't happy!

I know what you mean. I'm also one of those people who does extensive research before deciding on buying a new tech device (computer, tablet, cell phone). I try to make the salesperson's job easier but there are some of them that think that they know what you want better than you do. Those people annoy the hell out of me. When I had a Blackberry Curve 8530, I was on the phone with the Verizon representative while I was visiting a satellite store in my hometown. The guys at the store were trying to talk me into going with an android phone back then but I went with a pink Blackberry Curve 9330 because I had read the reviews and knew what I was getting myself into. You know, for a warranty replacement phone, that Blackberry Curve 9330 phone was an excellent phone for me. At that time, I really loved making themes for the Blackberry smartphones and my custom themes worked on those Blackberry Curve phones. A few months later, I bought my first Android tablet and I've been hooked on Android devices ever since.

You shouldn't HAVE to. You can if you want but it shouldn't be necessary.

Came from the BB Curve ranks too. From the moment I held the OG Droid in my hand I sensed RIM's eventual demise.

Thanks gang for this fun ride as the bionic finally gets its due attention. HOB made the wait for ICS bearable. Appreciate everybody insights as JB approaches. Now when will that soak start?

I wasn't trying to be nasty just something I noticed. With the "Sent from..." stuff I pick up on it and skip it. The "Fortunately I..." catches me off guard and I think it is part of the original message, but then it doesn't make sense. Still not a big deal. I was just curious as you can put a signature on these forums that helps people distinguish when those are happening.

Either way it's not a big deal just a question.

I have to say, I love that line...and most of the time, it looks completely natural there, like he meant to say that as part of his post.

I have to say, when a rep tries that with me, I give them one chance to accept that this is my purchase and not theirs, and if they can't, I get a different rep. It's one thing when I'm asking questions, but if I point and say "I'm getting THAT one", they'd better not argue the point.
