DROID BIONIC Jelly Bean Update

I use it on my Nexus 7.

In all honesty and please don't take this the wrong way - if you "care" that much about your privacy, you wouldn't be using Android a smartphone.

Your certainly right. There are major inconsistancies there. In one respect I have such a distrust in any location based thing, but I find myself using it quite frequently.

Fortunately I was able to interpret these feelings correctly: loss of essence.

Maybe I missed it, but I am assuming that there is nothing new with regard to build 21 Sam, still being tested?

It was taking a break last I checked. That doesn't seem to mean much these days as it came back yesterday when it took a 9 hour break. I'll keep an eye on it.

In the meantime, anyone see the XT912A? Looks like a new mid-range phone to replace the RAZR to me. Meanwhile Samsung books a flash mob to hype the event tomorrow. Gee....I wonder which phone will sell more. :)

Lets hope the XT912A is not the Moto press release set for May! Just don't know if this is what Moto needs to go head to head w/the S4.

It literally just started testing a few minutes before I posted. All we can do is wait and see how it goes. We're 2 weeks out from it completing testing even if all goes well. Then a minimum of 2 more weeks before a soak could theoretically start. And lately it's been more like 3 or 4 after testing completes.

After hearing about the problems my fiance's Razr is having with the new JB update, I sure hope the Bionic version is fully fleshed out. System functions (not talking about 3rd party apps) should at least be conditioning properly.

People don't want to believe me when I say the RAZR build is not great.

If you mentioned that, I must have missed it. I have seen several other issue threads already, so I don't doubt your opinion.

I might not have here. But I've mentioned it before on other forums and I get the "but it works flawlessly for me so therefore it can't have bugs" response. I just want to roll my eyes. Yes, cause EVERYONE uses their phone EXACTLY the same.

Is bionic the red headed stepchild of VZW/Moto or is that just our perception.

You think this will replace the RAZR here in the states?

No, it really is. They, for some reason, hate this phone. I don't get what they have against it, but, it's evident in EVERYTHING they do to this poor thing.

I think all of the early 4G phones were the redheaded stepchildren of their respective company and VZW. The Thunderbolt was ignored pretty quickly, too. Heck, those folks only recently got ICS :p

It was definitely a bad sign when the Bionic was released early September, and then the RAZR was announced 6 weeks later. At least HTC waited longer than 6 weeks to release their new phone. But, ya, Thunderbolt users did get the shaft.

Probably because it has a decent screen free of green tint, unlike the Razr.

(I abhor that phone)
