I am trying to decide between the Droid Charge and the LG Revolution. I imagine there are a few people doing this now.
Has anyone evaluated both the Charge and the Revolution? If yes, what do you think?
I have not found a good comparison from someone who used both. I searched both phones' forums and found no decent comparison --more than just the AMOLED screen is great and Bing sucks.

Thanks!

Just looking at the specs I'd have to say Charge but I'm going tomorrow to take a look at it.

And seriously bing was one of the reasons I got rid of my storm 2.

No comparison... the Droid Charge. I played with both phones this past weekend, and the Charge was faster in both processing and data speeds, the screen is easily much better on the Charge and not a washed out LCD, and it felt better in the hand despite the plastic build. The Revolution was just a heavy black slab with a plain screen and 4G capabilities. Not only that, the Revolution only has a 5mp camera, whereas the Charge has 8mp. Not to mention... Charge has a Google Experience, the Revolution is Bing'ed out like a mutha. The one thing I will say about the Revolution... the UI is much better than TouchWiz. But that's what root and Roms are for right? lol

Well I would have to say that the charge has the SAMOLED+ screen and it looks amazing......and bing sucks......... lol. I do like shield like shape of the charge. And if you don't like touchwiz you can always root

The shield shape goes back to the Omnia 2, it also had that shape if I recall. Might go back even further. The only problem with that design is the ability to lean the phone against something, not going to work well as opposed to a phone with a flat bottom.

For the noobs like me there is also launcher pro if you don't like wiz and don't want to root just yet.

I am also using launcher pro... and with my light use.... can't currently see the necessity to root this phone. I'm getting good battery life and can easily make it through the day if needed... if course, I can also burn through it quickly if in trying.

LG Bingvolution. I mean Droid charge. Just get LP+ and the Altered Beast rom with the charge and youre set ;)

I am happy so far with the Revolution. Just picked it up and still in the process of removing Bing...

Charge
PROS:
Super AMOLED Plus
8mp Camera

Cons:
4G connectivity issues at times
No Netflix
No native video chat app
Plastic body

LG Revolution
PROS:
Netflix support
Ability to VoLTE
UI doesn't bog the system down
Sturdy metal body

Cons :
BING!!!! >=[
Horrible screen
5mp camera
UI isn't too functional
8gb micro SD card only
Heavy and not comfortable in hands

Just my take on them.

Droid Charge FTW. There's a reason Verizon gave this phone their stamp of approval (the DROID moniker). The screen is the best on the market, unless you happen to like iPhone's retina better. The battery life is kick-ass for a 4G device. It's very lightweight. I personally much prefer the physical home, back, search, and menu buttons. The device looks better IMO than the Bingvolution. As for netflix, I'm sure there will be a hacked version of the app for the charge if there isn't already. Also, I've noticed people are expressing a good deal of dismantlement with the lack of a dual core processor. While it may not be a cutting edge CPU, it is by no means slow. Forget the quadrant scores its coming up with, this phone is VERY snappy. Top all that off with the fact that it already has root, a custom ROM and recovery, and you've got a real winner. I don't sound biased at all, do I? ;)

Haha, I'll be joining your views in a day or two as I JUST ordered mine from Verizon's site. Can't wait to get it!

I have used both phones at the Verizon store. Both where very fast, but the charge was a little faster. Also from what I've heard the Charge has better battery life. I actually think the Revolution feels good in the hand. But I still belive that the Charge is the better device for most people.

I couldn't agree more. That, and BMX told me I would love it when I told him I was giving up on the Bionic. Those things that you mentioned are what made me go ahead and buy the Charge, as I honestly don't expect the Bionic to have as good of a screen or the development support the Charge has, and we have yet to see whether a dual-core processor will have a positive or a negative impact on an LTE device.

Just got my Charge. love it. my 4G is superb (ive been delaying the system update tho, I am worried what you are all saying about the update and 4G problems). I put all my apps on the phone and it's g2g. Love itttttt
