Android Central would have been my #1 choice, and BGR *may* have made my list, but I doubt it. There are so many other good sites out there that actually care about this stuff.

That's exactly my thoughts on it too. Why not include sites like CNET or Engaget in something like this, rather than some no-name sites that it seems like the majority of us have never even heard of?!? I completely understand the concept of having a litte more "diversified" of a campaign, but had the people that chose BoingBoing even looked at their site before selecting them?? When I could finally pull it up from home after work last night (was block by our servers at work...) my first thought was "is this even a 'tech' site?!?" It honestly kind of reminded me of the kind of stuff you'd see on like Tosh.0 or something. Hell, even picking Tosh.0 would have made more sense that BoingBoing if that's what you're going for......he at least has a MUCH wider audience and an actually TV show!!! LOL!

Actually if you go on the market and do a search for Droid Bionic you can now download the app the video will make you aware of when it is complete. The video is a promo for a game called Droid Bionic Arena which uses Augmented Reality as an engine to allow people to scavanger hunt in the real world and find virtual prizes hidden regardless of where they are playing. Finding an item puts you in the running to win one of the 768 prizes they will offer. Each game take X amount of time and you can register for up to 4 entries per game. The first game takes place in 62 hours and 49 mins.

I think the scavenger hunt/contest deal sounds pretty cool, would really like to be able to participate, but sadly......I don't currently have an ANDROID phone. Are they not that interested in attracting new users into switching over to the Android platform (people that might currently have a Blackberry, Windows Phone, or *gasp* and i*hone) that this is only available for individuals who have Android phones since it's only being offered as an Android app in the Android market?? Seems like another FAIL in this campaign to me on top of the BoingBoing decision.....

They said that they'll have a way to do it on Google maps using street view, which actually sounds easier.
