I'm deciding if I should go to Bible Study from 7-8:30 or stay home to order the Bionic, that's how bad it is!
P.S. this means we won't get the phones until Tuesday?
Take a laptop with you and if you don't have WiFi there, get someone to tether to lol.
The Bionic page on Droiddoes appears to be blank...being updated perhaps?? preorder imminent??

You actually wouldn't get it until next Friday. It's highly unlikely they are going to ship orders prior to launch next Thursday. When you do place your order make sure you select overnight shipping and enter this coupon code: FREEOVERNT
In the past, a lot of people assumed that the free overnight would just be done automatically. The result was a lot of people having to wait until the following Monday to get their phones.
Also, a lot of companies, government agencies, and schools are connected to Verizon in one way or another. You may be eligible for discounts you weren't even aware of. Often times the 1 year contract price isn't much more than the 2-year price if you're the type that changes phones a lot. I veered off into a completely different topic than you even asked about. Sorry.

Is there any incentive to pre-order if they wont ship until next Thursday and not arrive until Friday? Wouldn't it just be better off to walk in on Thursday and get it day one? I thought the whole benefit of pre-ordering was that you would get it early (when it comes to phones anyways).
Its possible to get it early. Only thing pre-order does its keeps you from walking into the store and finding out they are sold out, this has happened to me 3 times (searching stores for the og droid on launch day). 4th store had one left, because a guy bought it, took it home, got in trouble by his wife and returned I 30 seconds before I walked in the store.

Hows your faith holding up Cory? You started sharpening a hack saw yet? Sure hope you are right about pre-orders, but I don't have a good feeling. Hoping you know something we don't.
I did talk to a rep awhile back who said that I should be able to pre-order the phone 3 days in advance and get it 1 day before it launches. Granted, this is what a rep said. I also heard that it wasn't coming out until late September and another one told me they had never even heard of the phone before. So...take it with a grain of salt, but the guy who told me 3 day pre-orders seemed the most informed. He *had* heard of the phone, had heard about the specs and the rumored dates, just didn't have anything official from Verizon to give me. Oh well. I guess we'll see one way or another. Just thought I'd throw that tidbit out there, FWIW.

So Cory, does your gut/intuition tell you that there will be some type of pre-sale? Maybe during the official announcement from VZW? Whenever that is?
Was the commercial not a official release?
