DROID Email ISSUES...

Ok well let me first say I am on my 4th Droid. First kept force closing, 2nd Had bad camera, 3rd had a bad ear piece. so now about my 4th.
I have been having issues with my email coming through. text seem to work fine but no emails. I have to open up my gmail email app on the droid and hit the menu and select refresh. then they come through. When it first started a few days ago I had 13 emails overnight and nothing was on my Droid. again it happened today. any advise?

Firstly; Gmail has been having some issues, they are resolving said issues.

Secondly; Do you have these accounts to use background data and auto-sync?

This is my primary account, by that I mean I use gmail as my main account. I am not running any accounts besides this... and it is set to auto-sync

Go to Preferences, then Accounts & Sync. Make sure both options (background sync and data sync) are on, and make sure in the list of individual accounts on the bottom part of the screen that sync is activated for each one you need.

Google was having some push sync issues earlier in the week, but otherwise there should be no other issues - unless you have either the worlds worst luck or the worlds most corrupted Gmail account.

Email not sending

Anyone else having troubles where your email will not send?

I have fine data, and can receive emails, just can't send any. It sits there saying "sending", been like that for 4 hours.

I know there is a data problem, but all of my friends with Droids are not experiencing this issue.

delete the draft/response and re-try. This happens to me very rarely.

No, didn't work. I have 5 "sending" emails now, since 9 am.

Oh well. I hope its just a data problem.

Droid email on Exchange is taking FOREVER

I noticed over the last few days that Exchange email on my Droid is not being delivered on time. Sometimes it's 2-3 hours late. I've removed and re-added the account..

if I wait a few hours and hten refresh, it'll get a batch of emails but nothing new or up to date.. wtf !!!?!?

Are you using a task killer??? If so, that could be the problem. Turn off the task killer (or delete) then reset the phone (battery pull). Send yourself a test email from your Gmail account. I had email issues a while back when I first purchased my droid. Initially, I thought it was the phone but it turned out to be the task killer all along. Hope this helps.

Yes, as mentioned above, I am aware of that. However, after calling a verizon rep, and him having no idea whats wrong, I feel my problem may be isolated.

So i changed my AD password.. go to refresh on my Droid and it didnt prompt me to change it.

I think the exchange email is bugged..i mean, is it even reaching into the Exchange server?? it should have prompted..

For some reason email flow started working normally again. Didn't work normally until early this morning.. not sure what causes this or how it's fixed but it appears to be working now.

I did do some mailbox cleaning and setup some rules to keep my main inbox more lean..perhaps thats the cause? maybe the inbox on the Droid has a memory limitation?

Doubtful.. we have 4 EV servers, with 10's of thousands of users..

every single Droid user we have, has had email issues. Some actually cause the application to force close which at that point requires a wipe.

I had the same problems. Push gmail worked fine for a few days after I received my droid but then stopped working right. I was getting emails hours late and had to constantly refresh to get them.

I found out through a google board that google talk has to be running for push to work correctly. This made sense as I had turned off gtalk to conserve the battery. Once I opened it to run constantly I immediately started receiving push emails and has worked since.
