Droid Incredible Shipping?

I talked with a Verizon CSR and his manager last night about replacing my wife's Eris. Since I have went throught 3 Eris's I was pushing for a different device and pushed for an Inc. He said it wasn't possible because they wouldn't have them back in stock till the 28th of July. Take it for what it's worth. So I ended up getting her a Moto Droid so she's on the dark side now lol

Yea when I was ordering the phone in store he kind of convinced me to go ahead and buy it when he said that none of the stores expected to have any back in stock in the stores until August. That's just crazy.

Yeah, pretty sure you wouldn't actually see them in stores till they came out with the new Samsung LCD ones, I'm thinking when Verizon does this they'll restart their D.Inc ad campaign, with a whole bunch of new accessories and support behind it and maybe actually be able to keep up with orders this time around.

Update! I'm a 6/7er in the southeast. We have two dincs coming out of memphis on July 1 and with "two day shipping" we get them on July 6th due to the holiday! Yeah!! Also retarded verizon decided to ship our phones to an address we had 3 years ago! Luckily my in-laws live their but you would think you would ship your phones to a billing address even tho I remember giving my shipping info with my present address! Whateva, just glad to be seeing the phone soon!

you would prob be better off ordering it now bc the ship date just keeps getting pushed back further and further... and shipping may speed up once the X comes out and at least u will have a spot in line already waiting for it

I was thinking of doing that but I'm interested in taking a look at the droid x (although it's too big and the droid 2)

I have a friend working for a verizon retailer so he keeps me updated.

I can't tell you how anxious I am to get rid of this POS Tour...

I agree, gnh5002's frustrations are misplaced. If Verizon would have been kind enough to pay extra for Saturday delivery he'd have his phone today.

I'm more implying the stupidity of shipping a package from what is a mere hour from my house to a location that's in another state and at least a 4 hour drive to ship it to the location that's 15 minutes from my house. If anything that's a waste of their own time money and space on a truck to do so. But that's just my opinion on that shipping method. I don't care that Verizon didn't upgrade me to overnight or anything. That's no big deal really ill wait the extra 2 days now but the route just kind of shocked me.

I don't think it's stupid from their perspective. There probably isn't enough volume of packages going from Philadelphia to Harrisburg to warrant a direct shipping route.

Off topic but when dhl was around in Bethlehem pa an engineer sent my company dwgs to easton pa which is a ten min drive.
Dwgs went from Bethlehem to allentown to the airport down to roanoke va to Newark then on a truck to allentown and then out for delivery.

lol unfortunately for me, my frustration with my BB 8330 is pushing me there as well and I still have like 3 weeks left of waiting.

It almost seems like the next HTC phone for vzw would be coming out by the time the DInc finally gets off back order. lol

Hey everybody I'm a 6/7er here and after calling every other day after my promised 6/28 order I finally have a tracking number with a 7/6 delivery. I am in Tallahassee and run a similar forum www.tallahassegunforum.com and recently realized my need for a smart phone. After quite some time I decided on the incredible and after my experience playing with the phone at my local retail outlet I hope I will be more than pleased but I am contemplating getting the droid X.

I would like to say that 30 days+ is total BS but I'm willing to wait to get what I want. If you want to test your patience buy a class III firearm you'll pull your freaking hair out. Trust Me, the last item I bought it was ten months from time of purchase to pickup and I had to pay the mandatory additional $200 which I will never see again

Update 6 6er received Friday, Love Phone. BATTERY SUCKS SEEMS WORSE THAN YOU READ ABOUT ONLINE, ORDERED 2100 EXTENDED BATTERY FROM VERIZON ONLINE) cant get through half a day with stock battery. Verizon stores dont have the extended battery, only online. I f you have a while to wait for your phone I would look into extended battery options while you wait so you can have one on hand when phone arrives

What you didn't believe everyone when they were saying it only last 5-6 hours on the stock battery lol. Yeah if you are waiting take this opportunity to figure out which extended you want, because you will want it.

Depends on where you are located. It seems that if your phone will be coming out of the Memphis Warehouse then you will have a 2 day delay. Everywhere else seems to be a "little" ahead of schedule. Hope this helps
