Soooo, Mine is out for delivery!!! I wasn't supposed to get it until tomorrow, but since I live closer to Memphis, it gets here a day early!!!

Mine is on the truck and should be here within the hour. I'm a 6/8er and this holiday weekend almost killed me. Very excited and if anyone in NY hears a crash, that will be my bb storm getting thrown out of my 7th floor window.
What should I do first? I have a fully charged battery waiting to get put in and then I'm off to the races.
Any suggestions would be great.

Because this forum is titled "Droid Incredible Shipping" and is nearly 400 pages long. For him/her to be too lazy to look at two or three of those pages to find their answer is rude.

I'm sorry if other people don't find it obtuse and haughty, and I wasn't attempting to be pretentious in my post, but that's just a little something I've learned from years and years of forum usage.

OK, this is my first post, but I have been lurking for a few weeks now. Ordered in-store on 6/11 in Chicagoland, and was told that I would have it in hand no later than 7/9, but I would likely have it before that. Reading the last couple days of posts here and on other forums gives me a little glimmer of hope that it could arrive before the 9th. I decided to call the store where I placed my order this morning to see if they could give me an update since I have not heard bupkis. I am a new customer, switching from AT&T, so I am technically not even in Verizon's system yet. Since I don't have an account yet, they have no way of being able to tell me when the phone will arrive, just to call back if I don't have it on Friday. Though I fail to see how they could help me then, if I don't have the phone and am still not in their system. Arrrgh!!! I just want my phone! (sniff, sniff)

It may not be hard to figure out for you, but it may for others. There's no need to be an ass in responses just because you think it's easy for you to figure out.

Plus, it's a forum, where people want to engage in conversation. Maybe this person just wanted to have a conversation with other people. Out of all of the forums I'm a part of, this one is definitely the most dry regarding conversations and sharing of personal stories or experiences. People need to just loosen up a bit and not be such hard asses.

Well, I just wanted to post one last time in this thread. I got my Incredible last Friday, the 2nd and it's with out a doubt, the best phone I ever had. I know the wait is painful but it'll be worth it in the end. I've downloaded a lot of great apps but the ability to post pics and videos directly to facebook and twitter is my favorite feature. Hopefully the shipments pick up as the Droid X gets closer. Now off to the other forums in search for more cool apps!

for all you know, this could be the first forum he/she ever used. He/She may not even know how forums work. Or, he may have been in a rush and didn't have the time to search through the forums. Is it honestly that hard to type "Yes, they will send you an email". As far as I can tell, it takes a whole 10 seconds, if that.

You are crucifying this user for asking "the same question" or a question that's been asked "over and over" in your opinion. Yet, this entire thread is filled with anxious users waiting for their Incredible (myself included) who keep posting "When is my phone going to ship?!?!"

I don't see anyone calling the rest of us rude? That's the whole point of this thread...that's where the entertainment from this thread comes from. The user had a serious question and did nothing wrong.

Now, back on topic...

Got off the phone with CSR...I ordered 6/12 with a slated 7/12 ship date. I was told today it would ship out on 7/9. My dad then called and they told him 7/15....slightly annoyed, we called back again and they sorted out the date confusion. They apologized for the mix-up of dates and confirmed that it will ship on 7/9 (hopefully!).

Finally got my shipping notice. 6/8 online, receiving about a month later. Better than a kick in the head.

I did answer his question, buddy. I also informed him/her that it's generally a common courtesy to actually READ the forum that you are asking a question on before mucking it up with even more of the same questions that have been answered 100 times already.

Nice job, though, using the word haughty. Way to be original. That's the word I used when I was being apologetic and civil about the matter before you showed up and decided to be a jackass. It's nice to know that you have zero ability to express yourself without using words by someone else.

The point is that, if you have EVER used a forum before, you should know to actually read the forum before asking questions. Even if you haven't used a forum, you would have to be pretty damn self-serving not to take 3 seconds to read for the answer.

It's like the people who go on a website to get a phone number for customer service but refuse to actually read the F.A.Q. first. They just waste the time of the service rep by calling when the answer was already clearly available to them.

Now, if you'd like to go be a self-centered pretentious little dolt elsewhere, and to someone else, it would be much appreciated. I was perfectly civil in my last two posts.

Thank you. Exactly what I was getting at. I answered his/her question while informing the person that it's a bit ignorant to not just look for the answer yourself, when it's been answered 100 times already.
