Droid Incredible Shipping?

I am so pissed at Verizon right now. I ordered in store in 6/11 and was told that I would have it no later than today. I had to date receive no communications from Verizon since the day I ordered. I talked to 3 separate people today, 2 of which promised to call me back with more information. And, no call backs. All the while being assured that I would receive the phone, probably on Monday or Tuesday

So I decided to stop by the store after work to get an answer, and it turns that someone from Verizon cancelled my order and credited my card back on June 15. Mind you, it was not me that cancelled the order (why would I??!!) How the eff does that happen without a customer's approval? And to top this off, there are no notes in the record as to WHY or WHO cancelled it, just that it had been cancelled.

I was told that my only option is to order the phone again and wait along with everyone else. No expedited delivery, nothing for my trouble, not jack ****. How's THAT for customer service? **** that. So I told her thanks, but not thanks, I'd take my business elsewhere.

So disappointed right now. I want this phone, but if I have to deal with ****ty service like this, then forget it. :mad:

I can't say as though I blame you for being so upset about the situation and that certainly is no way to treat a customer.

If you still want this device though you may be better off trying to order it through Amazon Wireless. As of today at least it states on the web page that Availability: Usually ships in 24 hours.

If this is the device you really want then don't let a bad experience with one rotten apple of a store detour your decision.

Whatever you decide to do though Good Luck to you with future transactions.

Yeah... sorry to hear your problems too. This has to be a rare occasion. Did you demand to see the manager? I would have gone right up the ladder. These screw ups can happen in any large company so please do not think Verizon is the only one screwing up.

Go get it at Amazon! I would have if I had to wait a long time.

Cancel your order with Verizon and order from Amazon. They have them in stock. I just did this yesterday, phone shipped same day, due to arrive this Tuesday.
 
Got shipping notification yesterday afternoon and didnt realize it. Leaving from memphis, TN at 1:45 pm. It is coming with 2 day shipping unfortunately though and slated to be here tuesday the 13th. It is exactly on schedule with the original ship date they gave me. Now the Hardest part of this agonizing wait begins...

Now I can finally smash this 3 year old LG scoop like Gallager!

Confirmation 7/8 from VZW with a USPS tracking number. I have no clue when its coming since USPS blows.

How come everyone else is getting theres by fedex and mine is by USPS. I ordered mine online with the 30 dollar coupon.

Do you mean UPS or USPS? Cause if they sent my phone US Postal Service I would be highly pissed, they aren't exactly careful with packages or know to be the fastest to deliver. I ordered some sun glasses week before last that were shipped USPS and their tracking stuff said out for delivery. Well the mail lady runs I go check my box it's not there. Well called them and she "forgot" he package at the Postal Office. Needless to say I was a bit miffed about it. Won't be shipping USPS anymore, and they wonder why they are going down the tubes quick.....
 
it was a smartphone coupon.. u entered it on the vzw.com website as a promotional code.. i think it was smart30 and it gave you 30 bux off. it worked online when i ordered it 6/12.. maybe thats why they gave me shipping with usps
 
I was pissed and its definitely USPS (regular postal). The tracking number works and i called vzw and they reconfirmed. The guy did say it was uncommon for it to be shipped usps instead of fedex but had no idea why it was sent this way. I'm annoyed but im just glad to be getting it soon.

Yep... I used that code too online. Actually I had an online chat with a csr to ask another question while I was ordering & he told me about the $30 off code. Mine is on its way via Fedex though.:cool:

They probably shipped USPS because you have a PO Box or an address that USP/Fedex doesn't deliver to.

Nope. I'm in a house. I get fedex and UPS from work and various places all the time. I actually got a Blackberry sent to my wife from VZW a few months ago by fedex. For some odd reason they decided to send my incredible by USPS. The guy at VZW said it wasn't a common delivery method but he has seen plenty. It's shipping from philadelphia.
 
Yeah I read that sometimes they would ship by a different carrier depending on the situation, thats all it really said .But as long as it makes it in good condition an stuff is the main thing . I dont see why it would be packaged any different so probably all good :)
 
I would call back and talk to a manager or that managers manager. You deserve more than this.

Got mine today...went to FEDEX and picked it up. Supposed to deliver yesterday called FEDEX and let them know I would be out of town and they said thanks and if you want pick it up on Sat. or we can deliver on Monday. Pretty SWEET phone!

At that point I just figured to hell with it and I told her thanks but no thanks, and that I thought this whole situation was really ****ty (which she agreed with). I did send an email to Verizon complaining about my experience, though I doubt that will do much good. I am going to call and talk to a store manager too, but again, not holding out for much on that. I am going to try to still get the $100 credit for moving my number to VZ from AT&T, since I had originally ordered the phone from them before the deadline on that in June, so that would be something at least.

I did end up ordering the phone from Amazon ($50 cheaper to boot!) and will have it in my hands on Wednesday. So I guess maybe there is a happy ending to this after all? Or at least an much faster one than had I waited around on Verizon to deliver my phone, lol.

Well looks like you got things back on track then. Since you are now getting your phone from Amazon ,I would still try and get some kind of discount or something from vzw tho,hope it works out for you this time around .

Actually I am surprised that isnt what happened in my order :eek:, sounds like my kinda luck ha
 
I just canceled my Verizon online order and re-ordered through wireless.amazon.com. They said it will be here by Wednesday - way quicker than Verizon could get it to me.
