Droid Incredible Shipping?

Totally bummed...I ordered my Inc on 5/11 and it doesn't look like I will be getting it anytime soon. I am starting to really resent my Storm1...I almost feel bad for the phone because I finally threw it across the room the other day. I'm so mean to the poor little BB!
 
I ordered mine in-store on 5/11 at 9PM and i called a vzw call center today (5/13) to see if i could get any information on when it will be shipped. When i said it was an incredible that i had ordered, the lady broke out laughing, basically insulting me for even asking. She said "you wont see that phone till the end of the month" so i was like great, thanks for taking me seriously....

I just want my incredible to be shipped! I didnt realize they were all sold out, so i went ahead and sold my blackberry, big mistake, i guess i should have just waited because now i'm stuck using the original enV until the 29th or whenever my incredible ships.
 
My local store actually had one in stock. I ordered online because the rep on the phone said it has been shipping (and I confirmed here on the forums) so I just ordered online (for the instant rebate) but now I am regretting it.

I did the same thing...I hate having to mail in for a rebate. Then you just get a stinkin' rebate card that inevitably ends up having some small balance left on it that you can't spend without having a boy genius behind the cash register...I wonder how much these rebate companies make with all the money that is left on these cards...

Sorry, I didn't intend to hijack this thread with my rant...I am just so antsy waiting for my Inc. By the looks of the posts above, I won't be seeing it any time soon... :( :mad:

I feel your pain. I had a droid, they made me return that before they would send me the Inc. So I'm stuck using my Storm1 until then. I never realized how much I dislike this phone.
 
Honestly I can't understand how they don't have enough phones to meet the demand.

LOL I tried to use up the last $13 I had on mine at the grocery store on a $50 purchase. It took about 12 mins and 5 cashiers...

Anyways on topic.. Will Best Buy honor the Verizon annual upgrades? Or only the full 2 year ones?

My Verizon store also has some in stock.. but I am trying to avoid the mail in rebate at all costs...

Nope...I couldn't get them to do the early upgrade. Best Buy has a ton of these phones in stock, but essentially only people signing new contracts or those with a NE2 can get one...hence, the large inventory. :mad:

I feel like this is some sort of way for them to control the fever surrounding the phone...It's like the "Tickle me Elmo" of phones right now... :)

This screw up is mind boggling. I don't understand how this happens and someone still has a job. "hurry up and get your Incredible, but you will have to wait a month after we take your money"

So if I'm within my 30 day satisfaction guarantee I can't return it and exchange for an Incredible at Best Buy?

More people bought the phone then was expected? Doesn't help that sites like androidcentral and engadget praised this phone for weeks causing the hype of the android/iPhone battle to raise like crazy. Then when the phone actually came out this forum was loaded with praises from both Iphone users and existing BB users so EVERYONE flocked to it.

Its understandable that the phone is out of stock finalyl and the realization is that it wont be available until June.

When you order. I'm trying to get my order cancelled as I dont feel like waiting but the Rep said it might be to late and I have to wait until it ships and then refuse the package.
 
Hmm according to the verizon wireless website it got moved back to the 3rd of June now, "Due to high demand, this device will ship by 6/3".

20 days to go...

Edit: For the people that ordered it a couple days ago when it initially said it would ship by the 29th, do they still honor it or would they just move it back for us as well?

They better. I am pretty annoyed that they keep moving the date. I can't a decent answer out of them either...

They already charged my credit card, so that makes it sting even more. Almost every other website I have ever purchased something from charges you once the product is ready for shipment. Big Red is not the most customer friendly company...

It can still be canceled if it hasn't been put on the Fedex truck yet for delivery. It is easily canceled when requested the same day of purchase, the following days just make it harder to cancel, BUT, it can be done. You just have to speak to someone high enough to do it.
 
Thats what I thought to, I'm going to call them again today to see if it was cancelled and if not im gonna push back alittle harder.
