Droid Incredible Shipping?

Ordered mine in store 5/10 (Monday) and that was in the time period when they said it will be at my front door by the 29th. I called CS at the Verizon store that I ordered it from 2 days ago and got nothing. Called today and now the warehouse has them, but my order has not been processed yet. I'll call back on Monday and see what's going on.

That's GOOD news. I ordered same day, but online. Gives me some hope.

This is my first post here. I ordered my phone 5/14 after having to get my mom to change our old plan to the new talk and text crap. I don't expect to see it anytime soon though.

I know it may not be an option for everyone, especially if you already ordered from VZW, but for those who haven't I would definitely suggest checking out your local Best Buy. I perfer their warranty/insurance over the VZW Asurion crap, but you can still get the Asurion crap and decline Best Buy's warranty if you want.

Anyways the first Best Buy I went to yesterday morning had 3 in stock and I got mine. Obviously results will vary and unfuranately you can't check Best Buy's mobile phone stock online, but its definately worth a shot checking out a few of your local stores if you don't feel like waiting.
Also I overheard the guy saying that they had an extra Inc. that was set aside for Mr. Whoever, so it might be worth it to give them a call first.

Overall I was very pleased with the Best Buy experience and I will buy every phone their from now on. And I'm not much of a Best Buy fan at all normally, but anything is better than dealing with VZW.

I ordered my phone May 15, 2010 and the rep told me the latest the phone will ship is June 3rd, 2010. But after reading this thread it appears Verizon is shipping them as soon as they come in. Which means I might get it faster!! woot.

I would have gone this route, but I wanted a 1 year contract. I was under the impression that bestbuy can only do 2 year contracts. I could be wrong.

I was looking at a topic over on Phandroid and with seeing this thread it seems that for the week of May 2-8 people were getting them in roughly in about 5 business days. I can only assume it's going to be around the same wait for us who ordered the week of May 9-15 because it was already saying "Will ship by May 29" for the people who ordered around the 8th.

True to an extent. I'm in West Palm Beach. Hialeah (70 miles) had two. A store in Doral (a little farther) had some but I didn't call them so don't know the number. Melbourne also shows with some inventory (even farther away) and Lakeland had some (even farther than Melbourne).

So, they are few and far between. The retail price is also $60 more than Verizon. I assume the upgrade is the same price but I don't know as I'm not eligible.

You do realize it's the same warranty right.......Asurion is insurance not warranty. When you buy an extended one for your phone either Verizon handles it through the mail, or you go in store to a Best Buy and they handle it through the mail for you. And Asurion is Verizon's insurance company so regardless of where you have your phone from if you are on Verizon with insurance on your plan you have Asurion.

And as far as Warranty, both give you a 1 year manufactures warranty, the "extended in house warranty" is handled either in store at Verizon or in Store at Best Buy. Best Buy's cost more btw.....so I fail to see your point.

It was amazing 2 years ago when it first came out!

Now, not so much. It frustrates the heck out of me because it seems to lag now. It pretty much does what it wants and the phone locks up quite a bit. I actually bought a BB Curve for cheap to use instead of the Dare. I wanted something without a touch screen until I could find something better. Glad I waited!

I'll be sure to post up if anything changes. I went into this knowing that at the worst, the phone won't be here until 6/7. With that in mind, I'm not all that worried about it.

I went to the store on 5.14 and was told if I ordered in the store I'd have "higher priority" vs people ordering online. I laughed at the guy and decided I'd rather pay less money and not have to wait for a mail in rebate and take the chance of being "lower priority"

Went home ordered, and didn't save the order # (the account is under my parents email and I keep forgetting to ask them to forward the email)

It'll be a fun surprise when the truck pulls up and rings the doorbell.

Well I called VZW even though I knew they probably wouldn't be able to check because I ordered in store but the guy said "From what I know we're shipping them out to people everyday" so take that for what it's worth.

I'm gonna call the store I ordered it from and hopefully get an order number/tracking number.

Order Status: Your order has been processed. You should receive your order within 2 - 3 business days.

Is this standard for everyone? Or maybe are they back in stock?

Thats what I figured, but I thought it was worth a try... The whole "You should receive your order within 2-3 business days." should have a little disclaimer stating something about being out of stock.
