Droid Incredible Shipping?

Wow ok. So I just got a phone call from VZW. Which I have to say is nice that they reached out and called me. It seems that there IS A 5 DAY DELAY ON SOME ORDERS. But the catch is....they dont know which orders it is affecting. As of right now, Im still scheduled for a 6/28 ship date. BUT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE.

Here is the worst part..if it is delivered when I am on vacation...and it get sent back to VZW...I HAVE TO RE-ORDER THE ENTIRE PHONE AND GO THROUGH THIS ALL OVER AGAIN.

I have no idea what to do.....

The lady was incredibly nice tho and told me to not worry about calling them whenever I wanted.

After hearing such horror stories, I certainly understand your concern regarding the status of your return. I am happy to assist you today.



I’m delighted I was able to reach you by phone today and I hope the information I provided you during our conversation was sufficient. For your convenience, I have provided a recap of our conversation:



Since your HTC DROID Incredible was ordered on 06/06/10, your phone should ship on or before 06/28/10. However, some customers with an Incredible Ship Date commitment up and including 6/28 may experience an additional 5 day delay. This delay will not affect all customers. Unfortunately, specific orders cannot be identified in advance of the missed shipment and the misses will be very sporadic. We are working to resolve this issue. I apologize for the inconvenience.



I have also confirmed that your phone will be shipped FedEx Overnight Delivery.

I love how people on here write these really long, dynamic passages with all their waiting for Dinc woes... and then as soon as the phone comes, it's like 8 words of abbreviations with no punctuation to let us know it arrived- classic, lol!

Well called vzw for the second time today and I am coming to think it is true they tell you whatever to get you off the phone. I was told earlier today that my phone would ship and the fed-ex pick up was around 4:30-to 5 est and they would have tracking by 6:30. This time around 7:45 they tell me the fed pick up around 8 and the tracking would be sent out overnight. I call bs on this. I want my phone but would rather be told the truth.

6/24 ship by date

Just spoke with CR. Same old song and dance. I ordered on 6/3 and it is still scheduled to ship today. For those of you who w?re told about a 5-day delay, what region are you in? The person in CR said he saw no such info to that effect.

Hey All, I just got off the phone with a VZW CSR and he stated the delays are only affecting the west coast warehouse. I live in the midwest with a 6/5 order date. He called the warehouse and stated my phone is still scheduled to go out tomorrow as scheduled.

Weird. No idea why if I live in NY it would come from the West Coast

I just called back because I didn't believe what they were telling me. The agent again told me my phone was scheduled to ship tomorrow. I'm a 6/5'r. He apologized for the miscommunication and gave me a 30.00 credit towards my bill. He stated that he heard nothing about an additional 5 day delay. He also said all i need to do is resend my phone back if I want to go with the droid x. It won't cost me anything.
