Droid Incredible Shipping?

Been lurking for awhile, I'm a 6/2 online orderer, haven't heard jack from VZ. Called 611 last night, and was told that my ship date had been pushed all the way back to 7/4. I know there has been a lot of misinformation spread by CSRs, but this one at least pretended to look something up, so I just thought I'd throw it out there.

I told them that quoting a ship date two weeks ahead of when they could actually deliver was a dishonest business practice, but really, there's no point in blasting somebody at the bottom of Verizon's totem pole.
 
Ouch. Considering 7/4 is a Sunday (and a holiday) I don't know how that's possible though unless I'm mistaken.

I told her that, and got "well, it'll probably be that Monday then." I'm bracing myself to actually wait that long, and then get the thing with big stripes of glue running down the screen...
 
6/3 online order and processed 6/3
6/24 ship date

Two calls yesterday to cs yielded two it will ship and you will have tracking later. Each call the time was pushed back. Well this morning no tracking and an other call to cs. This time they look it up say it should ship 6/24 and I tell them yes that is nice but it is now 6/25. The cs say let me contact online sales. I waited on hold for several minutes this time. When the cs gets bach they tell me that thier is 4-5 day shipping delay and it would not ship until 6/28 or 6/29. This is the first cs that I actually believe. Now weather or not they will ship it on those days remains to be seen. I will be emailing a complaint to them. I would have rather been told this the first time I called or even better they should have just sent an email out explaining the situation. I want the phone asap but understand **** happens, it's all how you handle it. I will posts any updates as I receive them. As far as I can see no one from 6/3 get the tracking info yesterday and all were stung along by cs. A few got the shipping delay info so we will see how this plays out.
 
well FedX is having 7/5 as their holiday so FedX wont run on that day, :( and if the 5 day delay applies to me my date to be shipped out was 6/28(ordered online6/8) , that would make it friday 7/2 , then allow for saturday, I dont think they deliever on sat.(7/3), sunday of course they wont deliever this day (7/4) , monday is holiday for fedx (7/5) . Just maybe........;) I get it by 7/8 which means 2 more weeks :eek: unless something changes :(

Just hung up with CS, she put me on hold while she spoke with the internet order side and came back and told me that my phone would not ship untill Monday 6/28. Not sure I really buy it since I was told yesterday that my phone would ship yesterday.
 
Here's my notion:

If you talk to CS and they tell you there's a 5 day delay, demand a $25 credit to your bill. If I hear about this, or if my phone is not here by Tuesday (ship by date 6/28), I plan on calling and demanding a credit for being lied to by Verizon on NUMEROUS occasions. The good thing is that if they balk at all, I can use the 'Well, the iPhone is looking good right now,' card.

And I understand that this is out of Verizon's control, but IMO it became their issue when they charged me for the phone weeks before it even shipped. And I don't buy for one minute that they can't cancel the order once its been placed. That's horse ****. That's just a way for them to charge the restocking fee once you get the phone and send it back (most people probably don't know about the delivery refusal). I would bet you anything that a few calls to some state attorney general offices would make them adjust that policy right quick. They can't create a 'ransom' contract and then not give the person 'being held for ransom' the ability to terminate before Verizon's end of the deal is met. Its ridiculous. So, I say, if you really want to cancel your order and Verizon says no, first talk to a CS manager and let them know you will be filling a complaint with your state's attorney general. Most AG websites have online forms that you can fill out. Then call the office to follow up with it as well. It will get your complaint fast tracked.
 
I ordered on 6/8, was told it would ship by 6/30 during my order. Of I don't get notification of shipment by then I'm cancelling the order and then I'm gonna raise hell!
 
I was told mine was going to be shipped overnight and it was shipped 2nd day air. It is scheduled to arrive tomorrow (Friday). I ordered in store. The store manager is giving me a killer deal on accessories to make up for the goose chase I've been on.....

They should be hooking us all up with a bluetooth headset or something. VZW is really starting to look like they have egg on their face. We need to somehow get MSN.com or some big internet site to write an article on this debacle.
 
6/3 order, NY. Just told to expect it 7/6. Honestly F*CK VERIZON, they are a joke and think they wont pay for this. I will either argue until I get the phone for free or I will be the bigger man and prove a point and leave the network. I could be speaking out of pure frustration right now, but if I dont get it next week, I will definitely look into legal issues, how they have not contacted me once, took my money the day i ordered etc. Heres to david beating Goliath. F*ck you verizon.
 
I called CS this morning and was told that all orders to be shipped by 6/28 are affected by this 5-day delay. That includes the 6/
3's to 6/7's. Looks as though they did not receive expected shipments. My guess.

Mother F'er! I'm a 6/7er and I feel like my head is gonna pop like a zit! I want my F'n phone you piece of ****! Are you telling me you billed me for my phone but won't even ship it for almost a month later! UGH :mad:
 
Ordered 6/7 Paid on 6/7. Just talked to a CSR who was very nice and sharp. She literally read off of her computer a memo sent to her from the powers that be that there is a 5 day delay on "some" of the orders placed between 6/3 and 6/7 but they have no way of telling who specifically will be affected by the delay. So... ya... wow... Way to go Verizon.

-Prediction... My Cubbies will win the World Series and the next day... I'll get my Incredible.

I believe the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is telling people. This has become a complete fiasco.
 
I really hope this 5 day delay thing isn't true... first I was told it shipped, then a supervisor told me last night it would be shipping this Monday...

I'm not going to call today and I will wait until Monday, if it's delayed I'm going the State AG route.

Did you order early on the 3rd or late in the day? I'm wondering if they are going by the time the order was placed on just some other sorting method to process orders.
 
Oh.. and I was also told that "best case" I have my phone by thursday or friday next week... worst case... the week after.

I'm going to delay my bill... if they ask where it is i'll be sure to tell them that my money is on back order and they should have it some time next month... and there may be a 5 day delay.

LoL that reminds me of work....whenever someone doesn't tip me and just says thank you, i go downstairs and tell my coworkers that i got another "Thank You" to give the electric company this month.
