I second the "ignore CSR" thing. Just called 611 for my 6/2 order to central Texas, got the "system shows new phone" message, so mine must be on the way. This is ~12 hours after the CSR tells me it won't ship until 7/4.

With that said, I recommend the following method to estimate your shipping date:

1. Acquire a Mayan calendar, the circular type. Remember, they're good until 2012, by which time most of you should have received your phones!

2. Build a fire, and throw a live chicken into it.

3. Once the fire has died, remove any remaining chicken bones longer than a quarter inch.

4. Throw the bones over the calendar. Take the average of the dates after today that have a bone over them. That average will be your shipping date!

Actual Ship Date: 6/25

The next thing I would like to know is what are people getting as comps from Verizon for the missed ship dates. I think requesting a comp is only valid when you finally receive a shipping notification showing the actual ship date so you can compare it to your promised ship date.

So I chatted with the very clueless "Denise" and she said "If your shipping date was June 30 , the phone will ship on that date." She refused to look up anything for me to see if that were actually the case >.< The CSR's are sooooo incompetent!

I've been 'promised' a every day since the 22nd that it was shipping out the same day. I'm not pissed so much that is is late as I am that there is no official information released to the public.

If this was happening to iPhone purchasers there would be whines and bitching until next year sometime. They are already complaining there is ****ty reception on a ****ty network and they knew this going in...

I ordered my incredible 6/2 in a corporate store supposedly to ship by 6/23....It is now the 25th and it hasnt even been sent yet.

Ordered mine 6/2, online. Nothing yet. I just got off the phone with CSR. They are sticking to that 5 day delay.

My actually shipping date is suppose to be monday ,however with the all the ones before mine is hoping that there is going to be alot mailed out soon .I guess/hoping now a bunch get mailed out before the 4th(including mine ) lol .I think mines coming from tennesse an my order is still stuck on 6/8 , and promised shipping of 6/28 .

I am not going to try contacting them til next week if I dont get any news by tuesday I will ,otherwise I just keeeping an eye out on what yall are posting in this forum.

Oh and for those of you who are considering the Droid X instead....You have 30 days from the time you "Take Posession" of your device (IE it is delivered to your home) to exchange it. Not from the time you purchased the phone. Hope this eases some of the worries of those considering the droid x now.

Just spoke with a Verizon rep face-to-face in a corporate store. There's a production issue with the front glass and basically it'll ship when it's resolved. I think all of the dates are a smoke screen. Could be next week or the week after.

You know its just one story after another. Who knows what is true anymore. I was just told by a csr that my phone, which should have shipped yesterday, will, without a doubt, with out question, ship on Monday. So who knows at this point?

It shipped today with a delivery date of 6/29/10. THERE IS HOPE EVERYONE!

Just heard from Customer Service via e-mail this morning. My in-store ordered/confirmed 6/3 order shipped this morning at 11am, with Priority Overnight shipping. It is slated to arrive Monday, June 28th - this via tracking at the FedEx site. No weekend phone... but an end is in sight! I never received an e-mail, but my *611 has now changed to reflect "you have a pending phone to be activated."

I'll let you know if/when it arrives Monday!

I'm a 6/2 online from Colorado Springs. Nothing yet.
From looking at a couple of forums, it looks like this is what is happening.
FEDEX is the fulfillment for Verizon.
Verizon has no control over that. Therefore, they just give you what they think will give you hope. They really do not know when your phone will be shipped. They do not seem to have any real solid info from FEDEX about shipment and I'm not sure FEDEX would give it to them.
If you called and there is nothing wrong with your order, you can expect our phone but you won't really know until you get your tracking email.
I'm as frustrated or more as all of you.
I guess we just have to hang in there.
I for one will give them some real feedback when I get my phone.

I think Verizon had made the decision to move on with the shipping dates, and they know that there are some stranglers that have still to receive their phones, this would explain the five day delay to only some orders. Some people are just luckier than others ahahaha
