Droid Incredible Shipping?

it states "The 3.7-inch Droid Incredible took the most demanding toll on production quotas, creating the longest backorders of affected devices. As such, it will be downgraded to the high-quality TFT display.
In doing so, Verizon will have to replace the SKU and notify customers that the Droid Incredible coming next month, is not the same Droid Incredible being sold today. This will be bold markings on the product packaging, as well as on marketing, literature, and possibly even advertisements."

That's exactly what I recall reading...not sure how I missed it this time around...thanks!

I did just find this snipet on page 8 of the Product Safety & Warranty Brochure:

"Use a damp cloth for cleaning, but NEVER use water to clean the LCD screen."

Of course, that could just be a generic text template that they use for all manuals...

When you test it in sunlight, mind posting whether its the lcd or led screen because im hoping for the amoled

Ok, so here is my adventure into pestering Verizon and hopefully it was a successful mission. Jury is still out on that one.

I got my shipping notification and was ecstatic as would be expected. But after the warm fuzzies of anticipation partially fulfilled ebbed I noticed that my shipping was 2 day. When I was promised 1 day. This would not be a problem and normally I would happily wait but these are trying times for my stunted patience. I mean the 4 weeks I had to wait plus the possible 7 day delay? I could take 2 days more but not 2 days spread across a holiday weekend. So I called FedEx and tried to expedite my order. That was a no go. They said if I was the original shipper I could upgrade the shipping but there was no way for me to upgrade the shipping as authorization from vzw was needed.

So then I decided to call the store I ordered from and ask them what they think. I got a nice lady who only sounded slightly uninformed and I told her my problem. She told me the same line many of you have gotten. How I would have to cancel my order, blah, blah, blah. And I let her talk for a while and then I said "well I just called FedEx and I was given the impression that the only reason I cannot upgrade my shipping is because I am not Verizon." She said "oh" so I continued with "everything seemed to be on track to expedite my package, I gave them my tracking number and confirmed the shipping address and asked about shipping and said they do offer upgrades to the original shipper, we can't have two shippers however so we couldn't split the cost. We must be authorized by vzw to charge the extra for shipping." She said "really?" I said "really." and then she took my tracking number, address, phone number (I know), and name and told me that she would follow up on this and give me a call on what she finds out.

I am not holding my breath but from my two interactions and the fact that I went to the store that sold me my phone and not the regular number give me a little hope that this will work. I am gonna call back in an hour or so to see whats up. Hopefully my phone on a truck is whats up.

Hey everyone... First time posting as I am also patiently awaiting my Incredible. Just wanted to let everyone know though that I just received my shipping information. For what it's worth, I am a new customer switching from AT&T and I called Verizon to place the order. I told my rep that I didn't mind waiting, but my AT&T contract was up 7/14 and I just needed it by then. He told me no problem, and he was right. I hope everyone gets theirs soon!

I called csr at 1pm today and received my tracking # and checked it on fedex and my phone had just been picked up in pa.
It is now 6:30 pm and I still have not received a shipping email.
I'm a 6/8er and I'd suggest people calling in if they haven't received an email and ordered around the same time as me. Maybe you'll get lucky

Woooooooooooooooo! SUCCESS!!! I have successfully gotten vzw to upgrade my shipping from 2-day to 1-day and they payed for it! read my previous post on page 321 if you want to know how.

i ordered on 6/8; it was supposed to arrive yesterday but sadly it was delayed and it got shipped toady.. they say it will arrive on 7/2 at 3:00pm eastern.. another sad thing is im not going to be there tomrow because im going on vacation... hopefully i can get my neighbor to sign for it and bring it to me when i get back :]
