Yes. General consensus is that means your phone has shipped/is ready to be shipped. Probably ready to shipped for us since today is Sunday. My guess is they'll go out tomorrow.
I sure hope so. That would be awesome...I'm a 7/2 order so we'll see how it goes. Keep your fingers crossed...
hey, i got the same thing when i called, meaning its ready to be ship, or has shipped already. The thing is, it should come next week because on the website if u order now, u get it by 8/3 it says. which is 2 weeks. me and u ordered it 15 days ago! so it shall come soon. I HOPE. i shall update. if i receive it.
plus i already know 100 things im going to do to the phone, change the lock screen, get a case, new battery, home screens. i cant wait.

I ordered on 7/15. I called 611 tonight and got the automated message saying I have an activation on a pending order. I tried calling again and didn't get the automated message. Does this mean my order is ready to ship?
It seems like verizon is getting a handle on things, a day before I place my order the website said the incredibles were shipping 8/9. The following morning the date changed to 8/2 and that is when I ordered.

I honestly don't think that automated activation message is any sign of your phone shipping. IF you'd like a sign, call into the customer support and ask them for your Order number (so that you may check online in the future) and your order status. They can let you know if it's ready to ship or not.
I still haven't gotten my notification for shipping and it says it hasn't shipped online yet (though it is Sunday so maybe I just have to wait until tomorrow). My bill reflects the cost of the phone though, so it must be on its way soon. I need to pick up one of those extended batteries, dremel the case I ordered from VZW, get an invisible shield, and pick up one of those sexy charging docks.
I'm seizing with spastic anticipation. Perhaps some Left 4 Dead 2 or Crackdown2 will calm my nerves... perhaps...

I ordered over the phone and the csr told me it'd ship by 8/2. I called customer service after I received the automated message and he told be it would ship one month from my order date, which would be 8/15. The guy I talked to with customer service sounded a little clueless. Also, my order doesn't show up when I go to check status on verizon.com
Your order only shows up if it's shipped. It has not shipped. The CSRs are always on the ball. I have yet, in all of my time with Verizon, to find anyone who doesn't know what they're talking about. I often act clueless to bait them into answers and then turn it off when I get my answer or if they just echo something I already knew (or finish their sentences when I realize that they're not telling me anything new).
The one month thing (which is almost true for me) I believe to be a precaution until the phones become more readily available. Also, they can't promise something if they aren't certain of. If they see that your package has shipped then they'll tell you so on the phone. Otherwise they'll give you an approximate date based on your order.
I ordered mine on 07/09/10. Nothing has shipped, of course. I just can't wait to be rid of at&t! Right now all I have are 2 cases and 3 screen protectors and this forum to keep me amused.

This is my thought EXACTLY. I went so far as to post up a poll thread. So far, it seems that no one has a TFTLCD or they don't know that they have one or they don't care to poll... either way I was surprised that the community so far only has AMOLED. I'm not even sure which screen I'd rather have to be honest. I like the look of AMOLED but I prefer the functionality of TFTLCD. I'll just have to wait and see...
(now back on topic...) Still no word on shipping... here's hoping that I'll get my notification by lunchtime. I may even break down and just call again to see if it did in fact go out (hence why they've charged the account. Additionally, I hope that the times I called haven't bugged anyone. The CSRs always seem rather cordial on the phone but I just know if the roles were reversed, I'd be going down to spit inside of peoples phones before they shipped like some fast food nightmare (I exaggerate of course; I'd only place a curse on their family that would last through 100 generations of cell phones).
Any other 6/28 (or after) got/getting any word from VZW on shipping?
Last time I spoke with VZW CS, they pointed out that you really had to wait until 5pm (eastern?) to check for shipping notices, because they do 2-3 shipments a day; once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and sometimes once more in the evening.
Of course, I got mine shortly afterward, but maybe that will help someone.

According to the VZW CS Rep I just spoke to, the automated message ("Pending Activation") has nothing to do with your order shipping. She also, confirmed that my shipping date of July 27th was still valid and that my order had not shipped nor was it expected to ship too much before that date. I realize that this is probably the "Company" answer since they don't want any complaints about them giving "false" hope to customers. However, I'm making myself forget about getting my DInc before July 30th.
