Droid R2D2 Keeps Rebooting

That is very true. I would be rather upset. I'll call them again if it keeps happening and see if they can't ship me a new one.

I have been reading that the 2.4.5 is having issues though. The phone has only been out for a little over a week.

yea the other thing that concerns me since it is a different version is how much longer will updates take?

i mean i hope it is software only as well.

one thing you might want to try is rooting the phone and using bootstrap installing a fresh rom which could be more stable and even if it does not have the star wars lock screen or other tweaks they have been ported to the x and stock 2 already.

check some out this guy made here :

Droid n00b question: I'm assuming the Market is attached to my gmail login info?

More specifically, if I was to factory reset today, I would be able to go to the market and find what I have already downloaded (paid or free). Correct? Or do I need to make a list of all the apps I have installed?

has a class 4 SD card been tried in the problematic phone yet?
Maybe a slow class 2 is causing problems from slow read&write speed

yes the market is tied to your gmail account but it will only show your paid apps unless u back up your data with you google account uner privacy settings.

and i believe the droid 2s all come with class 4s and i think it even rebooted without a card in the phone

Rebooted on its own once. I'm going to have VZW send me a new device.

Edit: New device is on its way.

Something odd... It seems to be more prone rebooting on its own when it's on a charger. It's gone all day without rebooting; the second I put it on the charger - Bam!

have you tried plugging into a comp or another cable? are you using the dock?

Got a new device and everything, so far, has been hunky dory. Sending the defective droid back for reprogramming.
