Ordered my X on the 17th and just got my shipping notification and according to Fed Ex it's already been picked up from the Verizon West Chester facility for delivery tomorrow. Oh and I'm in MD.
Now I'm jealous. Ordered mine on the 14th. No email yet. I told my wife last night I wasn't worried about it 'cause the salesman told me by the 30th, so I knew what I was getting into. Now I hear of the folks getting emails. I'm starting to get a little antsy.

Sure. Never said you couldn't. But the circumstances are different now. Getting mad at a device not shipping while knowing about limited stock isn't healthy. Getting mad because some phone rep couldn't enter your phone info correctly (or confirm what order they were looking at when you did the status checks), is understandable. If someone owned up to it weeks ago you could have gotten the order in by now. Honestly I have to commend you on how calm you seem to have been when dealing with them.
has anyone gotten this message on the verizon status page? it says due to overwhelming inventory demands your droid x will ship on august 31 just wondering if others got this or if it's just me
As of this morning the status page comes up differently (allowing for location info to be entered) and instead of stating it will come when they have stock, to because stock is low it will take a long time to get it.
Much to my dismay, I also saw this message today while checking my status. And I ordered my dx through verizon online on the 13th. I live in Idaho
