DX Top

I LOVE this program, but I really can't take how slow it is when it goes from portrait to landscape on the home screen (sliding out the keyboard, etc.). My screen goes black and it takes a few seconds for everything to re-orient. Does anyone else have this problem?

I too had a problem with it, but everytime I try out Home++ it just makes me miss all the things DXtop can do. And thats the reason why I always go back.

and for me (but not for others for some reason) with the last dx top update, all my widgets redraw instantly...

I love GDE but miss all the features also. I just went back to dxTop.

Ive been using dxTop for about 3 weeks now and i love it. The space is nice and using a different theme is cool, but my favorite thing is the dock. being able to have the 5 items on all screens is very handy IMHO.

I reallly want to love DXtop, but the rotation lag is just a killer when you slide the keyboard out. Hopefully the developer will adress that issue soon. Otherwise, it'd be my go to application.

What can Dx top do that home++ cant? home++ has up to 7-9 screens and a doc, screen capture, quick uninstall. I dont see why I would pay when all that is free.

Hide apps
Rename icons
Rearrange the drawers
Has a tray for 5 icons that follow you to any screen
Ill stop there

hmm I know you can rename icons in panda, Im not sure about home++, I do like the doc but home++ has that too and with some tweaking i think it can be better. Just watched a video on it, looks pretty cool. I think it might have better themes available for it then panda and Home++(doesnt have any yet)

you can't rename or change icons in home++ and the dock is different, in dx top, the dock can hold any application you want as well as any 1x1 widget whereas the dock in home++ is a predefined set of icons.

home++ has potential, but i still think dx top is well worth the few dollars they are asking for

dxtop is far and away the best of the three common homescreen replacements, but none of them are perfect.

He means like when you go away from the home screen then go back, it takes a while for the widgets to appear. They don't show up instantly like normal icons.

When you switch screens you can see how the icons and Widgets are pixelated for about 2 seconds. You don't get this on Home++, Panda or GDE. Also when switching orientation you have to wait about 3 seconds till the widget redraws itself. If you have Beautiful Weather or Weather Widget Donate you can see it most.

I've been recently experiencing major issues with DX TOP since the software update. Namely, after the update my homescreens were all clear slates--everything gone. I re-added everything the way it was before and then a day later realized that all the old stuff had now repopulated over top of the old stuff. Literrally one icon on top of another. I cleaned that up... Now a few days later everything is gone again, back to being totally blank. I've had to switch back to my standard homescreen for the time being. Any ideas??
