Earbuds not connected to the phone. We need a nerf

Uhh, I just got this phone a day ago and uhhhhhhhhhh my earbuds are not connected to it even when I get the click sound I have heard about in some other posts. Once I do sounds come from the speakers and not from the device itself. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.................................................................. Can we get a nerf?

Oh yea and to prove that they're not connected the UHQ Upscaler option is grey.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried other earbuds on your phone? Or these earbuds on a different device?

Yes, both earbuds work on my computer and another phone.

Use a can of compressed air to blow out the jack, in case there's debris stuck in there. Or use a toothpick to root around.

Still not working and I have tried doing everything.

In that case, bring it back to the store and ask for an exchange.
