Email false notifications

I've done some searching but couldn't find anything on this. On my Infuse, I frequently get email notifications but no new emails. I have a Hotmail Live account, and a Yahoo Ymail account. Not sure if it's one or the other causing it, or something entirely else.

I see some older posts from 2009 but no resolutions to this issue. Anyone know of a fix???

I have same problem, but with gmail. The notifications keep going off that I have a new gmail, but when I look, nothing!

Your Infuse mail app is probably set to "Do Not Delete Email from the server"

Unless you use an email program at home that deletes the mail off the server, the mail will reside there forever.

If you don't use an email client at home, have your Infuse's email app delete the mail itself. And by that I don't mean when you delete after reading. The email app will delete off the server after it downloads to your phone.
